In my never ending quest to find new topics for these posts (man you guys really are not helping with suggestions at all) my very random question of the night is what is your all time favorite fast food restaurant and why? I know this topic has been used at some point by I believe Keith in a CKC at some point but I am reviving it for its front page debut.
So tell us, what is your all time favorite fast food/fast food restaurant?
Also do not forget to vote in my way too long as usual poll following the jump.
So we have decided, well I have decided based on some suggestions (feel free to email any others you might have), that Monday's will be a movie based theme. With that in mind my question for the night is what is your all time favorite 80's comedy? I realize some of you were not even alive in the 80's but we all for sure have a comedy from that decade that we love. For some of us that is a very long list. What is your favorite movie of the 80's? Mine is in the clip below.
Also starting tomorrow morning we well be starting a new day time open thread. These will run Monday through Friday on non holiday work days. The concept as in the past with day time open/live thread is it's a place for people to come and talk about whatever during the work day. As with the evening live threads these need to be kept as PG as possible.
So tell us, what is your choice of movie (Favorite 80's Comedy)?
Well I will not be in by the time this is posted. I will have by this time been working a college cheer-leading competition down in Fort Worth. Normally this time of year I will watch basketball (Dallas Mavericks) or hockey (Dallas Stars). Of course those of you that know me (at least through this blog) know that what I am really gearing up for this time of year is baseball (Texas Rangers).
So my question is what sports have you been watching this weekend and in general?
As always this is a live thread and you are welcome to talk about any subject that you wish but please refrain from politics and religion and keep the language as clean as possible.
Well since last Saturdays music based live thread went over well I think I will make it the focus of Saturday nights thread. Also for those of you that might have any other clever ideas feel free to shoot me an email. I will of course have to ignore the offerings by Finhead or Alpha as we can not feature or even post any nudity here on the site. So wit that in mine on to the question of the night.
So with another work week in the books we have yet again come full circle and its time for the Victory Of The Week live thread. For those of you that may have missed the first three editions its a simple concept. As this is an open thread you can talk about anything (within reason) and we like to hear your personal victory, big or small, of the week. Call it a conversation starter or just a way to brag about something that you accomplished this week.
We all have our game day rituals. For most of us that also involves some sort of food and drink offerings. We have seen a few posts in the past highlighting some of our very own Phinsiders game day spreads.
Of course our most famous member, Ohio, is as well known for his fanaticism for all things Miami Dolphins as he is for his epic tailgate parties.
So what is it that you like to serve up to your family or your guest and just make for yourself on game days? What's that one food you can't do without during a game?
[EDITOR'S NOTE: Seriously? TCP, you went with a Hurricanes picture for today's live thread?]
So just another random thread on just another random holiday that is not really a holiday. So I was sitting around and trying to think of yet another idea for the random thread of the night. Of course most things outside of politics and religion are on the table in these random threads but I wanted to know what you thought.
Fridays are of course "Victory Of The Week" which was kicked off by our very own fearless leader Mosul a few weeks back. Saturday's music based post just seemed right so I think I will roll with that in the future. Likewise Monday's movie based post probably has a little mileage we can squeeze from it so that's another good topic with its own night.
My question tonight, to kick things off is what other recurring theme would you like to see? Seriously guys and gals, help me out here. I am not that creative on the fly so whatcha got for me? As always remember that this is a front page post so try and keep the off color language and subjects to a minimum but other then that this is your forum to talk about whatever you please.
So we all love a good movie and with many of us being sports fans of one ilk or another we also love our sports movies. In fact many sports movies rank among Americas all time favorite movies. Many of them are true stories that inspire us in some way or move us emotionally. Others are nothing short of slapstick comedy but for some reason we still love them no matter how stupid the humor might seem. Others are just drama's wrapped around sports or a sporting event of some sort.
I have one simple question for you tonight. Whats your all time favorite sports themed movie and why?
Oh and don't forget to vote in our poll.
