Miami Dolphins Continue to Add Coaches

The Miami Dolphins have continued to add coaches to Joe Philbin's fledgling staff. The team announced today that they are retaining four more of former head coach Tony Sparano's staff, bringing the total number of retained coaches to seven.

The Dolphins will continue to employ defensive line coach Kacy Ridgers, assistant special teams coordinator Dave Fipp, defensive quality control coach David Corrao, and assistant strength coach Dave Puloka. They will join special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi, tight end coach Dan Campbell, and strength coach Darren Krein as members who are staying with the new coaching regime.

The Dolphins also brought George Edwards, who had served the last two years as the Buffalo Bills' defensive coordinator, back to the team to fill the same role he had under Sparano, linebackers coach.

Joining the Dolphins staff today are two new coaching hires:

There is also speculation that the Dolphins may announce the hiring of Fordham defensive line coach Chris Mosley to be serve as a coach's assistant. The team still needs to find a quarterbacks coach, running backs coach, and a wide receivers coach. The also has not announced if anyone will serve as the team's assistant head coach.

I like this staff. I’m happy we didn’t dumb guys just because they were part of the last regime. Some of them were great and I’m glad they stuck around.

will Bryan Cox be back at all?
it looks like they brought in edwards for that position, cox is most likely gone
cox was pass rush coach

edwards is lb coach. subtle difference

You like Cox?

lol

Phil McGeoghan

Looks like Phil McGeoghan has been hired as asst wr coach. I like the fact he’s young. I also like the fact Miami has Edwards as LB coach. The fact he used to be a DC can assist Coyle.

alot of college guys were hired
