Time for the next part of the nomination process for the 2012 Matty Awards The next three categories are listed below. If you don't know, the Matty's are named after the site's founder, Matty I, and are used as a way for you to recognize members of the site who keep you coming back every day.
All you have to do is list the award, and the person (or people) you feel should be in consideration for that award. And, since there were no Matty awards last year, previous winners will be allowed to win the award this year.
Remember - this is not the vote. This is the nomination.

Funniest blogger. Im not sure, lots of guys say funny things. I think Ct and Nicky (although Nicky already won?) both say funny/somewhat snide things. But I will nominate Alpha. Hes funny and I like him.
Passionate: Matty, because he should be recognized for all of his work and dedication. And he must be a little crazy take on such an ambitious task alone.

but Matty is still a member. Also not to take anything away from Mosul but Matty undertook this project by himself. Mosul (for everything good he brings to the site and he has done a great job) has knowledgeable writers around him like Finhead and Alejandro who bring their own angles and, ideas and posts.
As for Beaver, I don’t know who’s second language is English here, so I went with Beaver.

I don’t know what members on the sites first language wasn’t English. So I nominate Beaver who is overcoming some language barriers.

That's not fair to Mosul.
Both Matty and Mosul have done an outstanding job. SBN has increased the number of stories the site must post though since Mosul took over. Even Matty would need some help with as much content that needs to go out now.

It isn't unfair because I noted how much Mosul brings to the site.
I stand to my nomination of Matty who deserves recognition in his own awards, especially for a “passionate fan” award. Being that he is still a member of the site he is still eligible.
That makes perfect sense and is nothing against Mosul.

I respect Matty and was the one that said no way that the name of the awards should be changed. It just does not seem like keeping in the spirit of the award is all. Matty is still around and you get a comment from him here and there but guys like Mosul spend hours a day, every single day while working and raising a family keeping this site up and running while pumping out far more content on his own then was ever put up before hand before we even begin to mention the other contributors that have been brought aboard.

I would think the key criteria in an annual award is "what have you done for me lately (in the last year)?
Matty is pretty much in the life-time achievement category is he not?
