The Miami Dolphins' official website, MiamiDolphins.com, has a running series of interviews with current and former Miami players from the same positions. Called "Dolphins Generations" these posts ask the same questions to the two players, giving a unique look into how the game has changed over the years. In the most recent post, the team talked to current Dolphins center Mike Pouncey, who in his rookie year was named an alternate for the Pro Bowl, and the Dolphins' Hall of Fame center Dwight Stephenson, who was named to five straight Pro Bowls before a knee injury ended his eight year career.
The two were both asked several questions, including who was the toughest defensive lineman they have faced, and which offensive lineman did they watch as they grew up. However, my favorite question was:
What is/was your most memorable play of your career?
Pouncey: "I'd have to sayChad Henne's draw play when he scored against the Patriots. It was just fun. I went up there and I cut a linebacker and then all of us celebrated in the end zone. That's something I still think about all the time and it's a play that you can look back on and see all 11 guys in the end zone celebrating. Everybody did their job on the play and everybody was enthusiastic about it and we all celebrated as a team in the end zone."
Stephenson: "Well, I can't say a play because I had a lot of memorable plays, but the game that probably stands out is the 1985 Chicago Bears game. It was special to the Miami Dolphins as being the only undefeated team and even though I wasn't a part of it I did have to defend that title, so that was special."

Make sure you head over to the Dolphins' site to see the rest of the interview with Mike Pouncey and Dwight Stephenson.

Dwight Stephenson may well be regarded as one of the best centers to play the game. Ever (so far).

A true beast
There would be no debate had he had a longer career.
