Here some great information

This was just on NFL network. It is probably the best concise clear picture I have heard on Peyton's injury. It also is from a "real" expert on the subject. This doctor does 150 fusion surgeries a year. He clears up a lot of the misconceptions many in the media have been perpetuating. He makes the same claim I found in the study quoted in my previous post. This surgery has a good recovery rate.

I think you’re tops for coming here and giving us the status updates you have.
Very good information.
Don’t you wish the Colt’s would keep him?
I know Irsay is starting over… but what a shame.

21Dave - February 11, 2012

:)
You’ all are good.
Can I play?
Do you really want Peyton?
Steve_Chiefs - February 11, 2012
well i dont look at him as our future but i am not foolish to think he is washed up either. i think he still has a few good years left in him. and no one can say he is not one of the greats at qb. most of us feel this team is real close to being ready to play with the big boys and a player like manning would be the push we need to get there. and he gives us time to groom our future to take his place. so i dont see a bad side to this. even if manning say does go down.. then we have a nice back up in moore who i still think deserves a shot at the starting job as well. he showed me enough last season to give him that.
oh and onemore lus is manning isnt asking for much in terms of guarnited. *sp money.

Would anyone have a problem with the Chiefs targeting Paul Soliai?
I will figure out the spelling
Steve_Chiefs - February 11, 2012
myself i think he done a fine job for us.. maybe not top money but top five at least. if they give him something long term to ease our cap space then i hope they keep him.. so ya cheifs hands off my Soliai?
animal2020 - February 11, 2012
Eh it could happen,
i think he’ll go elsewhere though… The Chiefs just signed our OC not DC.
BSerious72 - February 12, 2012
Eh...just my thoughts here but...
If you want him you can have him. I think he is going to be ridiculously over paid for what he is in terms of production. He is not the big play maker that his probowl appearance or Franchise Tag would suggest him to be. He fills up the gaps in the middle and won’t let a RB get more than a couple yards. He isn’t going to bust through double coverage and pressure a QB and he isn’t going to even create a gap for a linebacker to slide past him to get after the QB. He is a really big, strong guy that just kinda sits in the middle of the 3-4 and does well against the run.

Thanks all
The Chiefs just need a run stuffer to handle the gaps on either side of the Center. If Paul can do that he would be worth signing to the Chiefs.
Steve_Chiefs - February 12, 2012
But how much $$ constitutes "worth it".
joel311 - February 15, 2012
When KC has about $60 mil in cap space...
Why not just frontload the crap out of the contract?
Finhead83 - February 15, 2012
Thats what they should do if they can pull it off. I thought we should have done that with a lot of our contracts
in the no cap year. Redo them but there was of course a provision in places to stop that. Might be one of those now but I don’t know. I need to take the time to sit down one day or days and dig through the entire CBA.
texascowpunk - February 15, 2012
I'll give you a rec to keep it up!
wild zion beaver - February 15, 2012
Maybe,
but is he really worth the money?
joel311 - February 16, 2012
I think he's worth more money than people give him credit for.
Just not $12 mil per year worth it…
Finhead83 - February 16, 2012
His agent wants him to be paid comparable to Wilfork.
Nooooo waaaaaaaaay
joel311 - February 16, 2012
Yeah, his agent wants that...
But nobody will pay him that.
