Hated this guy when he was a Jet. Now I'm sad to see him leaving the NFL. I wish CP10 the best of luck with the rest of his life.
Here are the Miami Dolphins news stories from around the web you may have missed over the last 24 hours:
Where does Koa Misi fit into Miami’s plans? – Miami Dolphins – Sun-Sentinel
Koa Misi is a man without a true position, and depending on what the Miami Dolphins do in free agent and the draft this offseason Misi might end up as a player without a role.
Dolphins Generations: Sean Smith And Sam Madison
In Dolphins Generations, we ask the same questions to both a current Dolphins player and an alumnus who played the same position to see how their answers differ based on the era they played in. This week's Dolphins Generations features current Dolphins cornerback Sean Smith and former cornerback Sam Madison (1997–2005).

Wish List
1. Re-sign Misi and Langford (move Odrick to end)
2. Sign Flynn (this is the most likely anyway)
3. Sign Anthony Spencer (can’t believe I just said to sign another Cowboy)
4. Draft
Rd 1-2: BPA pass-rush specialist & CB
Rd 3-5: BPA OL, 4-3 LB, & receiving/seam-stretching TE
Rd 6-7: BPA (depth and special teams)

Misi is not a FA.

Wow ... Ireland has a revelation!!
If this is the case, that “pressure players are the core to every defense and you can’t have enough of those”, THEN WHY THE HELL HAVEN’T YOU DRAFTED MORE OF THOSE TYPES OF PLAYERS??
This isn’t a secret. Every single 3-4 defense is based on getting pressure from the OLB’s, yet Ireland has only spent 2 of his draft picks over the last 4 years on the position, only one in the first 3 rounds of any of those drafts (Misi, who wasn’t a pass rusher in college but was thought to magically become one in the NFL). Now Ireland realizes that he needs those types of players. Maybe he should have realized this when he passed over Clay Matthews for Vontae Davis.
I guess it is better late than never.

Because Miami was full of holes?
At least they had players like JT, Porter, and Wake. All of them good OLBs for Miami, even for a year or so, that allowed them to get by. If he had drafted OLBs, you would’ve screamed at him for not drafting CBs.

Oh what a surprise, CT bashing Ireland. Its like the setting sun!

At least I'm consistent!! LOL
This one issue has been my biggest beef with Parcells / Ireland since they got here. This team has needed LB’s for years and they didn’t address it in the draft at all except for Misi in the 4 years they have been here. As soon as you commit to running a 3-4 defense, you have to know that you need stud LB’s especially OLB’s.
By not drafting LB’s, they have had to rely on FA’s. That has caused them to overpay for Dansby and Burnett. And those contracts are going to severely limit what the Phins can do this year because Dansby’s back loaded contract is coming home at $10M+ for ‘12 for a player that has not lived up to the contract. Burnett is the same, just not as expensive. Plus the one player in the LBing corp that deserves that kind of money, Wake, might not get a contract extension because the Phins won’t be able to afford it AND get a FA QB.

You are consistent.
