That's a weird smile...
B Marsh's post game interview

made me sick. Recap paraphrased:

Q: You had 6 TDs this year, and 4 in this game, how does that feel?

A: Yeah well i had three different QB’s this year whichis extremely tough. And well, today just felt easy.

What about your fn multiple dropped catches in the end zone?? Yeah, i guess it is easier when the defense doesn’t play defense. Agree he had some nice catches, but come on! First thing you do is throw your QB under the bus

I actually try to give these guys the benefit of the doubt but this just struck a nerve..

Is it s surprise that the Dolphins are looking to upgrade the QB position?

Is it a surprise that the top receiver on the Dolphins wants a QB upgrade?

Of course having three different QBs this year caused problems. A wide receiver has to be in a rhythm with his QB in order to succeed. And, you’re right – when the defense doesn’t play defense, it is easier. That’s why Marshall was able to shine without the rhythm usually needed.

But what does it say when Marshall was the main target, when Ben Roethlisberger had Mike Wallace, Andy Dalton had A.J. Green, and Philip Rivers had Vincent Jackson?

Of course today felt easy. He’s a wide receiver with three Pro Bowl quarterbacks throwing him the ball. Do you think it’s easier to catch passes from Big Ben, Dalton, and Rivers or Henne, Moore, and Losman?

And, if you wait until 3:30pm and read the article that posts at that slot, you will see, he didn’t dismiss what Matt Moore did. He said he was great this year – but that the team needs someone who will take over the game. Do you disagree with that?

well said!
He complains about having 3 QB's this season...

but not about 3 QB’s in one game. Heh. I wouldn’t exactly call Rivers or Dalton “elite”; although, it’d be hard to argue that Rivers isn’t better than passer on Miami’s roster. Too early to tell with Dalton, but he show’s promise.

I’ll give BM credit for going out there with a goal to be MVP, and playing at a level to achieve that goal. At the same time, its not exactly like there was a Pass Rush… Sure he humbly (if not methodically and with purpose) gave credit to the QB’s putting the ball in his hands… But that’s a lot easier to do when you have all day in the pocket. The only QB getting any “pressure” out there was Cam Newton, and you can see how it affected his stat-line.

I get what Marshall is doing, he (like 100% of all of us Dolphin Fans) want a franchise QB. So in a way, I admire his going out there to play so that he COULD make those kind of statements and have them stand on some merit… I like how he did give Matt Moore some credit too, and didn’t totally diss the guy.

Rivers is elite

Dalton will become Elite

Its debatable...

Guys I consider Elite: Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Ben and Manning (both). Nobody else plays at their level or can bring the consistency they bring to the QB position and winning.

In my Opinion, Rivers is not quite there. He’s more like a Tony Romo. He puts up solid numbers and will win you some games, but until he can win’s them when it matters, and/or not have the 3-4 game losing streaks, he’ll just remain a franchise type guy to me, but not elite.

Although

with one ring and possibly approaching another, I can’t yet bring myself to call Eli elite. He’s very spotty and benefits greatly from the coach, awesome defense and supporting cast on offense moreso than his own personal skill level. He’s still a level below elite to me. Even with an amazing defense, coach, RBs and stable of WRs, they barely made it into the playoffs.

Yah, I'll give you that...

I hesitated to put him in there with the rest, but he’s played pretty phenomenal this season, and seems to keep getting better. He’s definitely borderline, one way or the other.

Umm, is there any particular reason that the Pro Bowl trophy kinda looks like a vagina?
Of course, I think everything looks like a vagina, so it may just be me...
Here is my take, personally i think Moore would thrive in a west coast offense.

Then again, i also think that Marshall would be served and better utilized in a four reciever set running a cross pattern with Hartline next to him as the number four reciever.

So much is said about a great QB making an average WR look good, we forget that Marshall isnt just a good receiver.

His job is to make the QB look great, Moore is a good QB. We talk about bringing Flynn to Miami, we already have him in Miami, his name is Matt Moore.

We talk about bringing Peyton to Miami, we could do just as good Bringing Campbell. Here me out on this one.

Jason Campbell is a good QB with confidence issues, Philbin is a solid coach that instills confidence in his QBs. It is a cheaper though just as lucrative option. Not to mention, i think he could really thrive in a west coast offense.

People see the needs, but the funny thing is, we already have the pieces. If we find a RT, it would free up Fasano, if we find a FB it will free up Clay, and if we find a LG, it will free up an awesome RG in Incognito.

Moving him to RG will only add balance to a lopsided offensive line.

These moves could only help bolster our offense.

I still say we should trade this whiner

Marshall looks great when there’s no real hitting to worry about. I’m sure he was hit harder in practice than he was in the probowl. Just look at his performance on the field when it matters. How many times did he drop a touchdown that would have made a difference last year? I lost track, but for the money he’s getting we could get rid of him and get a great receiver who might know how to hang on to the ball. Also, where does he get off lobbying for a new QB? I want us to draft a top rated QB, but Moore looked good enough last year to be given a chance to compete for the starting job. Moore might have to start next year until whoever we draft is ready to play. I’m sure Marshall would use that as an excuse for his drops next year.
