Well on the whole Fisher thing we will never know but in reality does he not now have to say that?
Its all about saying the right thing once you have the job. Also from my POV he did us a massive favor so I say we move and and thank God that we dodged that bullet.
It was obvious that Fisher was playing the leverage game when he took two weeks to decide between two organizations that combined for eight wins in 2011
Miami could hire him from Chicago no problem. Him resigning with the Bears did not disqualify him from the Dolphins’ job beacuse it’s considered a promotion and Chicago couldn’t stop it. Just wanted to throw that out there that Toub was eliminated because he resigned.
Plus the Bears already denied the move of a secondary coach to interview for Minnesota’s DC position. Resiging Toub and some other coaches would help prevent dissatisfaction from some Bears staff in Chicago preventing growth in their coaches, especially after Love Smith said he was hoping some of their assistants would move up the chain.
Winston Moss. Don't know why they're not interviewing him.
I got a feeling it’ll be McCoy. Then they’ll draft Tannehill. I see alot of similarities between him and Tebow. Carmichael would also be really decent, but does he want to leave N.O.? I’m not so sure he does just yet. Chip Kelly isn’t coming, although I wouldn’t mind him right now.
Wonder why the Colts didn’t go for Fisher? And I wonder who they’ll go after. Maybe Cowher will be tempted…
Don’t forget about Todd Bowles!!! With the remaining list I wouldn’t be upset if we got Carmichael or Bowles.
On a related, but unrelated note, I wonder if JT99 or CP10 has ever considered coaching? JT99 would be a nice guy to have sticking around in the locker room as a linebackers or DL coach. Same with CP10 as a QB coach. Both are very knowledgable players and both would make a great addition to the staff.
Good to hear about Toub.
Better snap up McCoy before the Colts do, and if not, the phone at Carmichael’s house better be ringing right about now.
Zimmer? Sure thing…as a Defensive Coordinator.
Miami better speed up the process before Indy potentially takes the coach Miami wants. The Indy job would be enticing with the prospect of having to choose between Manning and Luck.
Go get Peyton Manning if he is released or willing to be traded….then draft Tannehill in 2nd rnd to learn under Peyton for 2-3 years…Tannehill is thought to have a very high ceiling with some of the best intangibles since Rivers…needs some time!
Who better to learn from???
There is no way they can trade him as all those monies would accelerate to one year and count against the cap.
If they release him before the bonus is due then they are free and clear. If they keep him those monies will be spread out over the remainder of the contract or at least until he is gone.
Unless you're learning from Peyton Manning........
Most QB’s should be thrown right in but Tannehill is one of the exceptions. He would be best served playing behind someone like Peyton for a couple of years. If Moore is the QB then yes Tannehill starts right away, I don’t want him learning to throw behind guys. lol
So ... Twitter apprently hates the Dolphins
kmb8488 - January 17, 2012
Get our Asses moving and sign a coach before the best are gone!!
Zimmer PLEASE!!
MassFinFan65 - January 17, 2012
Sounds like Peyton will be traded!
MassFinFan65 - January 17, 2012
That's what I was thinking....
Alpha6 - January 17, 2012
They cant trade him without taking a HUGE cap hit. They either keep him or cut him. No other option.
texascowpunk - January 17, 2012

texascowpunk - January 17, 2012
I agree
It’s a moot point anyway. He decided to go elsewhere….time to move on. Let the Rams worry if they were first or second choice…..
FinsSince70 - January 17, 2012
It was obvious that Fisher was playing the leverage game when he took two weeks to decide between two organizations that combined for eight wins in 2011
That guy is a douche.
kmb8488 - January 17, 2012
Also there is this that applies to the second tweet-
texascowpunk - January 17, 2012
Toub was an intriguing canidate, I think he will be a good HC one day.
Patssuck456 - January 17, 2012
2nd Interview- Zimmer???
MassFinFan65 - January 17, 2012
Yeah, I'd say so
kmb8488 - January 17, 2012
Even if Toub was a candidate
Miami could hire him from Chicago no problem. Him resigning with the Bears did not disqualify him from the Dolphins’ job beacuse it’s considered a promotion and Chicago couldn’t stop it. Just wanted to throw that out there that Toub was eliminated because he resigned.
Finhead83 - January 17, 2012
Yeah, but him resigning means it's likely he thinks he won't be our HC.
BahamaDolfan - January 17, 2012
It's possible that he resigned after being notified that he was out of the running for the Phins job.
texascowpunk - January 17, 2012
yeah that's what i meant
BahamaDolfan - January 17, 2012
That's what I'm thinking happened.
Finhead83 - January 17, 2012
I'd give Jim Caldwell an interview if I'm the Dolphins.
JP 23 - January 17, 2012
??????
ummmmm 2-14, I realize no Manning but still!
MassFinFan65 - January 17, 2012
lol...
Alpha6 - January 17, 2012
Anyone see him coming here
Phinsphana - January 17, 2012
No.
Miami is going in a different direction. They stick with Moore, and draft a QB this year or next….
Alpha6 - January 17, 2012
Mike Nolan reportedly out as Defensive Coordinator, hired by Atlanta
Per Rotoworld.
BSerious72 - January 17, 2012
Well, Atlanta's D is about to get a lot better
kmb8488 - January 17, 2012
so here are the remaining options
Carmichael
Zimmer
Mccoy
Maybe chip kelly
Anyone else?
AnishB15 - January 17, 2012 via mobile
oh yeah
Philbin too, but I doubt he will coach after what happened with his son.
AnishB15 - January 17, 2012 via mobile
Sounds like Philbin is going to interview with Tampa
kmb8488 - January 17, 2012

BahamaDolfan - January 17, 2012
this is only people that have already (reportedly) been interviewed
AnishB15 - January 17, 2012 via mobile
Bowles!!!

MassFinFan65 - January 17, 2012
Yeah.. I thought I had two more days.. but, NOT.
Alpha6 - January 17, 2012
I thought it was 12/12/12 wait, we passed that!
Dolfan88 - January 17, 2012
With Nolan Gone ZIMMER making more an more sense!!
MassFinFan65 - January 17, 2012
Couple things:
Good to hear about Toub.
Better snap up McCoy before the Colts do, and if not, the phone at Carmichael’s house better be ringing right about now.
Zimmer? Sure thing…as a Defensive Coordinator.
DolphinNation - January 17, 2012
Well Jim Caldwell is available.
Which doesn’t help the Dolphins search for a competent coach.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 17, 2012
Maybe as OC?
BahamaDolfan - January 17, 2012
And also, is it Caldwell's fault the FO surrounded the team with mediocre players? It's more the FO's fault than Caldwell's at where they ended up.
BahamaDolfan - January 17, 2012
Unfortunately...
Miami better speed up the process before Indy potentially takes the coach Miami wants. The Indy job would be enticing with the prospect of having to choose between Manning and Luck.
Finhead83 - January 17, 2012
This^^
MassFinFan65 - January 17, 2012
WILD THOUGHT

texascowpunk - January 17, 2012
It totally worked for Curtis Painter right?
What about Damon Huard? He got to learn behind Marino..
Little Nicky 21 - January 17, 2012 via Android app
Just a wild thought guys .... nothing serious!
Besides if we did pick-up Manning I don’t think we would spend a 2nd round on another QB…more likely protection & weapons!
MassFinFan65 - January 17, 2012
Tannehill will go in the 1st.
BahamaDolfan - January 17, 2012
Seriously Nicky? smh
Big difference between a guy that is a fringe first round talent and a 6th round and undrafted QB.
The Tannehill/Manning idea isn’t a bad idea, better than Moore or Flynn. I am still with you on the RG3 move up though.
Agent J 78 - January 17, 2012
The only thing I was addressing was learning from Manning
I think the QB mentor is a highly overrated..
Little Nicky 21 - January 17, 2012 via Android app

I like Tanehill as a project
Patssuck456 - January 22, 2012
Agreed CP10 was a genius at the position and henne still sucks
Phinsphana - January 17, 2012
Festisio....
Alpha6 - January 17, 2012
Regret of the day........
You know you’re getting old when you have to look something up on Urban Dictionary, I did just that and well…….. it was the regret of the day. lol
Agent J 78 - January 17, 2012
LOL!
Alpha6 - January 17, 2012
Don't feel too bad- I did the same frickin thing after reading Festisio like 100 times on here
Yes we are old.
Fuhbawl - January 18, 2012
Nicky!
Oh wait I mean BS, oh sanme thing…LOL
Dolfan88 - January 17, 2012
McCoy getting 2nd interview & Zimmer is out
WTF I have lost all faith in Ireland!
MassFinFan65 - January 17, 2012
When did Zimmer lose out?
Agent J 78 - January 17, 2012

Dolfan88 - January 17, 2012
