Jeff Fisher was reported to make his decision last night, but as the day went on, it was said it could be an overnight decision. Well, now we're into day two. What exactly was reported yesterday?
Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network kicked off the day by reporting Fisher was on the verge of signing with the Dolphins. Lombardi said, "it appears he will choose the Fins. Fisher wants no part of a potential relocation and feels more comfortable with the structure in place in Miami than St. Louis." FOX and ESPN maintained he hadn't yet decided. Lombardi then later said Fisher is "leaning towards the Dolphins right now" but "he keeps going back and forth."
Fox's Jay Glazer later said "those close to Fisher said he's legitimately torn and going back and forth. He's swung from the Rams back toward the Fins, then back again and now back. The Fins thought they were out of it this weekend. The Rams thought he was coming there. He went to visit the Rams, things changed." Glazer reported the possibility of the Rams relocating was a big issue for Fisher. If you remember, Fisher was with the Oilers when they moved to Memphis and then Nashville.
ESPN joined The Watch late last night when Chris Mortensen reported late last night that Fisher has not decided which team to choose. Shocking midnight news!
So here we are, again, waiting on Jeff Fisher. Once again, many of the writers feel today is the day. So here we are... watching... waiting...

This is excruciating.
I don’t really feel too excited about Fisher. I’m becoming less excited and more annoyed as this process is drawn out. At this point, I simply want to hear a decision so I can stop anticipating.
DolfanVince86 - January 12, 2012
I agree. This makes me question how much he wants to be here.
I say the Dolphins say, ‘scuse…Mr. Fisher….we’ve decided to go in another direction. Then hire Chud, or Carmichael…or some other Offensive genius :P

goodbad news.DolphinNation - January 12, 2012
Seriously though.
What happens when we don’t get him? It’s not like we’re losing out on Jim Harbaugh or anything. Fisher has a proven track record of mediocrity. He’s Tony Sparano with a decade more trial and error under his belt.
DolfanVince86 - January 12, 2012
I'm not that high on Fisher
But he’s still a major upgrade over Sparano IMO.
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
+1
DolphinNation - January 12, 2012
ahhhh
this is the type of thinking that has us riddled with mediocrity (backup quarterbacks, crappy coordinators, etc)
with this line of thinking, matt moore is a suitable quarterback for the future. we’re not that high on him, but he’s still a major upgrade over henne (eh, maybe that’s a stretch)
DolfanVince86 - January 12, 2012
That’s what the Jets are thinking right now.
Sparano > Schotty
Henne > Sanchez
Manning > Henne > Sanchez
Flowing hair that someone can braid on your back > Sanchez
DolphinNation - January 12, 2012
I'm not saying Moore is suitable and it's not the line of thinking.
I never said Fisher was my top choice. I’m just saying he’s still an upgrade over Sparano. That’s like saying Henne is an upgrade over Cleo Lemon, but that doesn’t mean I think he’s a great QB.
I do think of 3 available HCs, Fisher would be in there with Philbin and Chudzinski.
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
Impatient society we have become!
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
impatient, yes, but
it is a little troubling that he is having trouble deciding between the two teams. I think that we would all agree that we want a coach who is decisive and eager to coach in Miami, not one who is flip floping between our teams. I would rather have someone who is stoked about coming here and doesnt need two weeks to decide.
Phinphinatic - January 12, 2012
Ohh, I'm sure he's already decided...
If it was me, I’d make all the media vultures out there sit around with the thumbs up their a$$es for a few days as well..
Pianomanzz - January 12, 2012
Those are the reports but no one knows for sure what the truth is.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Yo...
My opinion…he’s going to the RAMS. With the money we are allegedly throwing at him, it would have been an easy decision… especially since we have more talent around on the roster….warmer climate, and no threat of relocation.
I think he’s just trying to get more money from the Rams.

Fisher's influence on us....
This morning, thus far, I couldn’t decide:

- Scrambled eggs, french toast or waffles for breakfast?
- Bacon or sausage with whatever the hell I’m having for breakfast
D*mn you, Fisher!

I still think I’d prefer Chudzinski more, but I’m not believing it will happen… even if we don’t sign Fisher. I think it’ll be Fisher, Philbin, or Zimmer. Philbin is kind of a mystery at the moment due to his situation. Guess I’m pulling for Fisher for now.

Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
I completely agree with you!!
I would love for Chud to be our coach… Even though I´m not 100% convinced about Fisher I still think he is the best option out there and then Chud however I am getting sick and tired of this whole waiting!!! I personally think he is just playing with both teams…. I know its a tough decision but he´s taken WAY TO LONG!!! I´m personally pissed at this whole thing and would rather move on!!! We were once a proud organization and having to wait an see if a guy decides to coach us or a team like THE RAMS bothers me. I feel we have a good team in place and say what you want but this is a GOOD JOB!!! If you dont feel like it is then up yours!!!
Sorry for venting here but this whole thing is just pissing me off!!!! GO FINS!!!
DolfanPTY - January 12, 2012
I def like Chud he's got a ton of upside
but he’s honestly never done any head coaching either. He could be a mystery and might not be able to have the entire control of the team.
I want a guy who works well with the owner/GM but still has the balls to have the team under his power and control. Fisher would probably be the best candidate for that reasoning.
BSerious72 - January 12, 2012
I get your point!!
But honestly every successfull coach in the league had to start from scratch sometime in his career…. Its not like there isnt going to be no more successfull coaches besides the ones that that are currently coaching…. Hiring a first time coach is not the problem… The problem is really having a clue of what you are doing, the direction you want to go and what you need and hire THE RIGHT GUY!!!!!
DolfanPTY - January 12, 2012
Hey Fellas
Im new to the Phinsider here. Im a Carolina Panthers fan first and foremost, but I was born in Miami and my dad was a lifelong Dolphins fan so the Dolphins are my AFC team and I figured I would join the site to keep up with the latest Dolphins news :). I understand the love for Chud (and I will say that I would love for him to stay with the panthers) but like BSerious72 said, he is an unknown entity at the head coaching position. In Carolina, he seems like a guy that tries to stay behind the scenes and just do his work. I haven’t seen any type of leadership skills that is required of a head coach, yet. But there is no doubt that he is one of the great offensive minds in all of the NFL. Not to say that he can never be that leader of the organization type of coach, but he has not shown anything of the sort in Carolina as of yet.
mlrupert - January 12, 2012
Thanks for your input and welcome!
I am definetly intrigued by him, but honestly not much is known of him and if he is truly ready for the HEAD COACH OF THE MIAMI DOLPHINS title as of yet.
Good luck to your squad, you guys are one of the teams to watch.. hopefully we get RGIII and meet Cam in the Superbowl soon enough!
A MAN CAN DREAM!
BSerious72 - January 12, 2012
Yea man
Im hoping the Dolphins trade up to get RGIII. But if not, Ive like Matt Moore since his days in Carolina…I think he was just a casualty of John Fox’s pathetic offensive system. I thought he played great for you guys down the stretch considering he was still learning a new offensive system. I wonder what he can do next year with off season workouts and whatnot….
mlrupert - January 12, 2012
Agree with you 100%
Moore did a good job this year. I think we need RGIII for the long haul, but if that doesn’t work out, Moore may have a chance to show his worth this coming year. Free agent market for QB’s looks pretty thin. Everyone is in love with Matt Flynn but I’d be worried that his 2 games of success is all because of the great GB system. Welcome aboard.
rintintinsoldier - January 12, 2012
Thanks for the welcome!
Yea I agree about RGIII. Since the Dolphins, in my opinion, don’t have a lot of holes on their team I think that a packaged trade up deal is within question for them. I like the front 7 on defense a lot and all that is needed on the defensive side in my opinion is a good FS. The offense is pretty solid minus RT and possibly adding another playmaking WR and/or TE wouldn’t hurt. So giving up multiple picks to move up for RGIII wouldn’t set the team back at all, and it also seems like a Ross kind of move.
mlrupert - January 12, 2012
Welcome to the Phinsider bro!!
Regarding what you just said…. maybe he is a “behind the scenes” type of guy because that is what he has been asked to do or maybe thats just the way he feels comfortable of being within the role that he has….. I seriously think that if being a HC is not something he would want or feel like he is ready to then he would just reject the interviews….. That´s just my opinion!!!
DolfanPTY - January 12, 2012
thanks man
Yea, like I said he has remained behind the scenes in Carolina. That could be because Rivera might have asked him to do so, or thats how he feels comfortable, or he was just so busy with having no ota’s and whatnot. I’m sure every coach in the NFL dreams of being a head coach…so I don’t think that desire would hold him back. I think it is whether or not he has that ability to lead grown men that will dictate him being a head coach or not. Even though I haven’t seen that quality yet in him, he very well could have it. Like you said, he might not have been asked to do so yet. And thanks again for the warm welcome!

I know back when everyone was saying they wanted a coach with experience, the were talking about Bill Cowher
and although Fisher has experience he has never had the level of sucess Bill did. So, Im not reallt that excited about the possibility of him signing, but I just want a decision to be made already…

Re-posting my prior comments on Fisher
I left these comments in a prior fanpost…
I sincerely wish Mr. Ross would show some ballz…. and move on from Jeff Fisher. My own opinion – I wouldn’t be mad if Fisher was our HC…. however, I do not want a guy… that doesn’t know if he wants to be our guy. This flip-flopping that is reported…. is ridiculous. I want a guy that walks in the building and WANTS the miami job.
Aside from that, I am not sure Fisher would be the best choice… especially if we have to give him additional responsabilities. I don’t really want our coach (Fisher) to have final say on Draft choices, FA, etc.
I really think I want Mike Zimmer as HC…. maybe he could bring in Hue Jackson… as OC or Assistant HC/QB Coach….
Nuda29 - January 12, 2012
"reported"
“This flip-flopping that is reported” is exactly that.. reporters, reporting.. nothing more. I’m sure Fisher made his actual decision a few days ago.
Pianomanzz - January 12, 2012
possible
I’m not sure what value it would be to Fisher… to have made his decision…. and just not share it.
Nuda29 - January 12, 2012
Maybe he still has to get permission
from the boss (wife)…
Pianomanzz - January 12, 2012
arrrr....I know that feeling
tuscanitunr x2 - January 12, 2012
exactly
I agree Nuda, i don’t want a guy who really doesn’t WANT to be here.
But all this shit in the media is merely reported. We’ll know for sure from Fisher’s mouth at his conference once he chooses MIA/STL and we’ll be able to know if he’s legitimate or not.
He’s probably just working out neccesary kinks of the contract with his agent… he has probably made his mind by now
BSerious72 - January 12, 2012
I'm tellin' ya.. he already picked..
His wife is searching for South Beach mansions right now on Realty.com!!

We really have no idea what is going on.

Strange - January 12, 2012 via mobile
I don't know why everyone is so damn impatient.
I saw a guy on Twitter last night made a really good point about all this. Fisher met with the Dolphins, and then went to Denver to meet with Rams owner Stan Kroenke. He then wanted to meet with Bradford and take a look at the Rams facility before he made a decision about them, which is totally understandable. He finished his St. Louis visit on Sunday night.
Then on Monday, he talks with each team about specific concerns that he might have, like whether or not the Rams may move to LA, and how much control he would have over the team. Tuesday he starts with negotiations about money to work out numbers. Then yesterday was the first day where he had all the information to make a decision and was mulling it over, weighing the pros and cons of each position. So yeah, I’m not worried that a guy is taking a couple of days to decide where he wants to go.

It's the internet era
We have instant access to information and with that instant access we want instant answers. 10 years ago when the internet wasn’t as strong we’d have to wait until we heard reports on ESPN, before that we had to wait until the newspaper arrived the next day. In newspaper days there would only be 1 news cycle per day and now it’s hundreds.
It’s the same amount of time but it just feels longer because we’re so used to instant gratification.

Before Brandon Marshall farts

BSerious72 - January 12, 2012
Let's see. I'll take $8mil a year at Miami, or take less at St Louis.
Real hard decision making.
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
I'm sure it's not about the money
The guy would be set with either job. It’s now more about specifics, geography, power, etc. $8 mil per year in Miami vs. say $5 mil in St. Louis. Money does not equal happiness anyway, so either amount would be plenty for him.
rintintinsoldier - January 12, 2012
why is no one freaking out about $8 mil
that is wayyyyy too much to be paying a coach
Phinphinatic - January 12, 2012
Because it's
not our money and it has no effect whatsoever on the salary cap or the team. It’s just whatever Ross wants to pay him and really has no bearing on anything.
Chupathingy - January 12, 2012
so its perfectly ok to make Fisher one of the highest paid coaches
after a barely above average career? I know that it is not our money and doesnt effect our cap, but it is the principle.
Phinphinatic - January 12, 2012
Yes, it is.
Why do you care? Be happy we have an owner who isn’t a cheap skate. We could have Jeff Loria.
PNSter - January 12, 2012
…or Fisher’s former owner.
DolphinNation - January 12, 2012
I know what your saying but around the league there is no one more respected and the believe among those
in the know is that his average record was more a product of the ownership and the restraints that they placed on him and the franchise then anything he did poorly. I am glad that we have an owner that is willing to front the bill to get the best on the field. If that does not happen fans are still bitching. Hell they bitch around here no matter what happens.

Havn’t we had people get hired for HC or GM that has had a proven recorded and let our hopes get high and shaft us in the end. I would name names, but I have just got rid of the bad fealing as a fan of being used. I’m a Phin fan till I die, and I hope the front office does select an apropriate person for the job. I just hope the person that is selected for the possitions will a) improve this team b) stay longer than 4yrs. c) get the players to put their full effort on the feild d) last make us fans go nuts for during and after the regular season. Fisher may be this man, but I’m not holding my breath.

No coach that has ever retired....
and then came back into the coaching scene has EVER won a Superbowl. So take the Cowher or Gruden situations any way you’d like.
The one reason I truly like Fisher is due to his lack of success. Hear me out. Cowher, Gruden, all those guys have their rings already. Fisher, a 16 year vet, has zero. Nada. Goose egg. He’s never won the big game. In his best season, he came up a yard short. As a coach in the National Football League, that has to sit in the pit of your stomach forever. “I am 1 yard away from having a Superbowl ring.” If we get Fisher, you bet your a$$ he’s going to do everything that he can to win a Superbowl. After all, he’s getting back into the league after being ousted with the Titans. The fact that he has never won the big game shows me that he is going to be absolutley driven on making sure he gets his ring before he retires for good. Your Cowher’s and Grudens may not be as driven. That’s totally based on assumption, but Cowher has rings. His legacy is already in place. Fisher on the other hand, has a legacy of 16 NFL seasons with only 6 playoff appearances and 1 Super Bowl appearance. Tell me a guy like that isn’t going to come in determined to get his ring one way or another.
Phin-Up or Shut-Up - January 12, 2012

Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
not a bad thing imo
finstotheleft - January 12, 2012
My source inside the Dolphins organization just called me
After the toilet incident I reported yesterday it seemed that Ross was still on the fence and Ireland was not wanting to sign Fisher.
Today, Ross’s helicopter pilot presented disturbing closed circuit footage from Fisher’s helicopter ride. On his exit from Dolphins facilities, Fisher got to sit in Ross’s big boy seat in the front, next to the pilot. Shortly after takeoff, he can be seen looking suspiciously back and forth, and then picking his nose and rubbing it on Ross’s seat cushion. He then smiled and is seen texting in clandestine fashion. Well, the camera showed who he was texting: Sparano! Later that night, reports of Fisher drinking appletinis with Sparano and Sparano laughing and fist pumping are now all the more disturbing.
Ross is said to be fuming and Fisher will not be our new coach.

Are they still around?

DolphinNation - January 12, 2012
next he will be so split he will attempt suicide
GoNuckingFuts - January 12, 2012
19 would be high for VY
I think he scored an 8 or something. That’s not even the lowest wonderlic score recorded, either (I believe that dubious distinction goes to Roddy White).
kmb8488 - January 12, 2012
they dont call him rowdy roddy for nothing
rumor is he wrote his name on the Wonderlic test then proceded to FLIP OUT throwing chairs and before leaving he defecated on the test.
They gave him an 8 because he spelled his name in perfect cursive.

I think it's sad that everyone beat up on McElroy for coming out and saying stuff.
But at least he wasn’t afraid to have his name associated with his comments. When “anonymous” people say shit, the Jets don’t say a damn word.

That organization is sunk. Their coach is a moron who is essentially mocked by the rest of the league
Their players are all jags, and their QB is a tool. Other than that, everything is great in NYJ land.
kmb8488 - January 12, 2012
You forgot to mention their new hire at OC, and another ex-Dolphin coach on the way. Read something last night that they’ve reached out to current Ole Miss and former QB coach…lol…David Lee.

Between that, and sorta, kinda, maybe tackling a shrub on my way home, the last time I got really drunk, yeah…my liver hates me.
DolphinNation - January 12, 2012
lol
kmb8488 - January 12, 2012
^^^ This
My metabolism slowing down was the worst part of the whole thing. Well, that and my back pain starting to hit me.
Chupathingy - January 12, 2012
Once the back thing starts happening you have to cut back to 10 girls in the sack at once.
The price of getting older.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
LOL!
Chupathingy - January 12, 2012
It's my knees.
I think it’s an army thing, but my knees are crap.
I’ve partially torn the ACL in my right knee, twice, so that probably doesn’t help.
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
Mobility and stretching are still key.
Mine have improved with Tae Kwon Do.
Also, supplements can help. Glucosamine, Chondroitin, MSM.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
Yeah, I used to take Glocosamine and Chondrotin
But, then I figured out I have a shellfish allergy, and they are made with shrimp. They’re out.
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
Bummer.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
crack
BSerious72 - January 12, 2012

I’m actually older than you? Now I feel all depressed.
=P
Chupathingy - January 12, 2012
I'm older than Matty....
If that makes you feel any better.
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
LOL
Not really, cuz that means I’m that much older than Matty too. At least I know SMP is still older than me. And TCP of course, that guy is ancient.
Oh, and happy b-day.
Chupathingy - January 12, 2012
Thanks.
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
lol. Tex is 41. I think there are guys here who are in their 60s
kmb8488 - January 12, 2012
well I'm 43...
And I actually remember watching the Phins beat the Skins in the perfect season. I remember my Dad was sooo mad when Garo f’d up the field goal.. He threw all the crap he could grab at the TV, yelling "It’s was supposed to be 17-0 ! for the 17-0 Season you dumb a$$ kicker!!.. then he made me get up & re-adjust the rabbit ears he knocked over…lol..
Pianomanzz - January 12, 2012
I know.
But that’s just his thing. You know, like Nicky’s short, Tex is old, Alpha is a really messed up individual with a sick monkey fetish and a van with no windows.
That kind of thing.
Chupathingy - January 12, 2012
lol at the Alpha thing
I want a stereotype, dammit!
kmb8488 - January 12, 2012
kmb is the only guy to not have any stereotypes
that is your stereotype, take it or leave it
BSerious72 - January 12, 2012
Hmmm
I’ll … take it.

Hey wait a sec…what the heck is my stereotype?

GROW A SACK
I wish Ross had the balls to just say F U and get out of the running for this mediocre LOSER!!!!!!!! Have some respect for the organization and don’t let this A hole play us like a fool. Go get the next big thing.
thekramer26 - January 12, 2012
Wow, how do you really feel?
rintintinsoldier - January 12, 2012
Fisher mediocre?
mediocre mullet – not coach right?
scrappy the wildcat - January 12, 2012
I don't see a lot of winning on his resume to demand big money
thekramer26 - January 12, 2012
He's a solid coach with lots of experience
Go to wiki and read his history of coaching in detail.
He’s coached McNair and they threw the ball quite a bit. Injuries and a tight-wad owner can do murderous things to a coaches win-loss record.
He’s one of the few coaches who has the kind of experience as an HC who obviously wants to become an HC again. Cowher doesn’t, Gruden doesn’t. Ross wants a name with this hire. It all makes perfect sense and I think he would bring stability to the position which isn’t something this team has had since Shula got canned.
rintintinsoldier - January 12, 2012
okay look - i won't argue
i will disagree and say why…..
you can count on 2 fingers active coaches with more wins than his 142. you dont have that kind of longevity without being a good coach. that stuff doesn;t happen by accident.
scrappy the wildcat - January 12, 2012

Aiming for the trifecta.
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
kyle padron?
Who is he?
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012
He started for SMU at QB his Freshman and Sophmore season.
He got pulled this year aftera bad game for their senior QB, who went on to have a great year. Kyle will be back out there next year.
He is the first QB to lead SMU to a bowl win after the death penalty.
Oh, and he’s my cousin. My uncle is a huge Cowboys fan – the whole family is – and we were at their house for Thanksgiving for the Leon Lett Bowl. Perfection.
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
Oh, he's your cousin, nice
I wouldn’t mind him as a late round pick
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012
That's what I am hoping for.
It won’t happen, but I can hope.
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
At least he is at an up and coming program. I listed to the schools flagship station (The Ticket)

Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
Trent Richardson, Dre Kirkpatrick and Morris Claiborne all declared today. Big surprise
kmb8488 - January 12, 2012
indeed...but I doubt we'd get any of them
Kdog92 - January 12, 2012
Kirkpatrick might be there if TB passes on him.
And it’s a tough call with Richardson. Either way, I’d rather get Riley Reiff or Jonathan Martin.
kmb8488 - January 12, 2012
solidifying the OL should be our main concern
I agree get Reiff or Martin. We’d have such a killer OL
Kdog92 - January 12, 2012
Yea I agree
If they don’t trade up for RGIII, then I would solidy that RT spot which would make the running game and Matt Moore that much better
mlrupert - January 12, 2012
a RT isn't making Matt Moore better
it will just give him more time to be Matt Moore. That may or not be a good thing, flip a coin.
Little Nicky 21 - January 12, 2012
Honestly we need to start lining up some other caching candidates, the waiting game has gone on long enough. Fisher either wants to be here or not, he’s lucky he’s the only belle at the ball thi season because he’s not worth all this. The Dolphins need to pick up the phone and set up an interview with Chudzinski today. Chud and Shula would be a nice haul for the Fins imo.
mr1313 - January 12, 2012
yes, yes they would
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012
Just read on Rotoworld
that Schefter reported a decision may not be made untill Friday.
Kdog92 - January 12, 2012
I think that's the safe bet.
Every day, report that the decision may not be made until the next day. That way, you’re covered no matter what.
Oh, and nice sig.
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
ty kind sir for giving me that sig
I think we should just give up on Fisher.
We shouldn’t have to wait this long for a guy to make this decision. I know we have some problems…but come on, we’re better than the Rams.
Kdog92 - January 12, 2012
Ahh, relax...
He’s going to do what’s best for him & his family… Not either team.. At the end of the day that’s what we all do, look out for us & ours first.

FinFanFromCA - January 12, 2012
we interviewed chud last year and still hired dabol?
how can Ross feel that he is the right guy for the HC position if he doesnt trust him enough to be an OC?
Phinphinatic - January 12, 2012
I agree
Thats why I dont think Chud will come to Miami. Plus I bet he feels a little burned and that might also push him away from taking the job.

I have to throw my 2 cents in.
1. The man can take as long as he wants. This if it was you and you had 3 offers for jobs, how long would you take, you would as long it took to get it right.
2. I would love to see Fisher here and not a OC or DC with no Head Coaching experience, tired of the mismanagement of games.
3. That is all, well except I would love for us to sign Matt Flynn and trade up for Blackmon.

Look at the good news
We should do better in our division for one simple reason. Sparano has gone to the Jets to be the OC. How clueless is that? I can’t believe somebody as simple minded as Sparano got a offensive coordinator position. It looks like the Jets are drowning in their own BS. As for Fisher, I could care less. Does anyone really think he’ll lead us to a Super Bowl. Yea, the picking are pretty silm for head coaches, but if the Fins have to get an unproven assistant coach as a head coach he will probably only be given a short-term contract which means the Fins will have to show immediate improvement or he will be shown the door. We all know it still boils down to our QB situation.
straighttalk - January 12, 2012
In other news
Tannehill has a broken foot. Combine may be in question, but he should be good for Pro Day.
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012

SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012

texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
by the way
are you at all concerned with the broncos this weekend? I would be. 12 men in the huddle and hitting JC on deep routes.
Phinphinatic - January 12, 2012
No more so than any other team.
If the Pats play well they can beat anyone. If they play like crap, they can lose to anyone.
They stopped Tebow at the height of his streak. They can stop him after one game in the playoffs.
I fully understand, though, that they might not.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
I have been one of the ones that refused to buy in to the Cult of Tebow around
here. At least at him being a QB. It seems as if Denver has taken the reigns off of him and while his passing percentages are still meh the ones that he did hit counted and counted big. Its seems as if the QB we saw last week is not the same QB we saw the first time the Pats faced him. This is a hard one for me to pick. Tebow had not a lot of issues with what most would say is a much better defense last week. Also they are playing defense as well as anyone right now. That being said I always hesitate to bet against the genius that is Bill and the arm that is Brady. Its a toss up in my mind right now.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
I think they play him similarly.
They’ll try to stop the run, and they’ll try to take away the long ball.
They’ll basically try to make him hit all the stuff in the middle over and over again to move the chains. He’s still sub 0.500 on completions, expecially the shorter ones (which is really weird).
With Spikes and Chung back, we should do a better job at run stopping. They were both out last game.
I mean, I know they can beat them – in fact they HAVE beaten them, and we had a whole lot more guys out than now.
That’s why they play the games though. Any given Sunday (or Saturday in this case).
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
Oh its going to be a good game. And I would not bet against the Pats
but I would likewise be afraid to bet on them.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
I'm just hoping they shake that one and done monkey off.
That’s no fun. No fun at all.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
It does not matter. The SB winner is most certainly coming from the NFC this year.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
When it's that certain is usually when it's least certain.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
Point taken.

Yeah,
I’m not going to worry about it.
It’ll happen or it won’t.
I can’t suit up, so there’s not a dang thing I can do about it.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
At least your team is in the playoffs.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
What are playoffs?
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
That magical land where January becomes special.
And, if you’re lucky, February does too.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
That sounds vaguely familiar...
But I thought that was a myth like Santa or the Easter Bunny.
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
It wasn't until Strahan mugged Santa,
and Tuck strangled the Easter bunny …
and the Easter egg landed on David Tyree’s helmet.
Stupid David Tyree.
It’s become more mythical of late.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
Hahahahahah, just wear the big "L"
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
Thanks for laughing at my pain.
You can’t believe how much that helps.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
Hahahahaha, and just wear is your pain?
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
With these slow motion kicks I have to do.
It’s mostly in my ass. Can’t wait to be done.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
lol... just as I thought...
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
Still,
David Tyree is a poophead.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
Yep, third year in a row.
That’s why I don’t want any Tebow time.
Brady’s only got a few years left. It’s Tommy time.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
go jump off a cliff you shi...oh I can't stay mad at you

You’re not old enough to use such language!
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
Thanks little brother. You play well.. or at least you know I'm kidding, in all fun.
I will tone it down tho. Don’t want anyone to freak out.
=)

I've noticed theres a resembelance to Jackie Gleeson, Miami Beach the greatest city in the world!
wild zion beaver - January 12, 2012
Is it me or is the South Florida media some of the worst in the country. I mean when Salguero and Omar are both the better known “writers” on the Dolphins you know we have the bottom of the barrel. Everyone seems to be in the dark on the Fisher watch in South Florida (and nationally) but you would think these buffoons would have some connections within the organization to clue us in on a few morsels of news. I do appreciate this site but this how I see it from a Dolphins fan standpoint that lives in New England. I shake my head when I read anything these guys have to say, awful.

Think about it- that breaks all the curses. Look at Marino back in the day- he had a mullet. We need a coach with a mullet. Adding the mustache just makes it even hotter.

DolphinNation - January 12, 2012
Matty connected the dots there....
He pointed out, the rumor is Dolphins have offered to make him Executive VP, and have power over Ireland. If that’s the case, then it looks like he wants to go to STL, but they won’t give him the final power.
He could be stalling to try to get that power. Which, would confirm yesterday’s suspicions that his camp was leaking the “leaning toward Miami” rumors to leverage STL.
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012

This
Idk why ross is so hard headed
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile
I guess with the Titans he had the same title in the end.
FinFanFromCA - January 12, 2012
That's about the name of that tune, at least for me...
If he’s trying to play a power game with the Rams, and is merely using the Dolphins as leverage, buh-bye, Jeffey. Go to St. Louis and be whatever the hell you want.
If I were Ross, if this is true, I’d already be on the phone with Chud, Carmichael Jr and Hue Jackson. I’d also reach out to Spagnolo for DC, just in case Nolan decides to bail.
DolphinNation - January 12, 2012
They are saying he wants the VP tag. An have a position over Ireland.
FinFanFromCA - January 12, 2012
If he want VP and final say let him go say no to him, that never works when the HC gets total power.
I like Fisher as a HC, but would rather keep Nolan as DC and run the 3-4 base than switch a top 10 defense to a 4-3 since that is what Fisher runs.
scorp - January 12, 2012
I agree with you about a HC having to much control. BUT
If the FO is the only thing keeping us from a coach we might want. Why not find a new GM?
FinFanFromCA - January 12, 2012
I think Fisher wants to be both HC and GM.
Dolfan88 - January 12, 2012
Does he want the same thing from the Rams? They interviewed 2 people that Titans FO for their GM position.
FinFanFromCA - January 12, 2012

Tex
On the Cowher debate.
Ex-Steelers coach and current CBS analyst Bill Cowher told the Dan Patrick Show Thursday that at least three teams have offered him a head coaching job this year
FinFanFromCA - January 12, 2012
But he does not want to coach. I am sure he is offered every off season.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
You asked for proff that he was offered a job with Miami.
That quote was linked to the Fins so. If someone says NO. We might want to wonder Why? Like I said before. IMO Cowher wants the Giants job when it comes open.
FinFanFromCA - January 12, 2012
Still not proof but for sure possible.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
LOL yeah I guess.
FinFanFromCA - January 12, 2012
I don't freaking know anymore. I am just so confused by the whole Fisher thing.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
I'm still not sure Cowher would be a good coach.
It was really Dick LeBeau’s defense that got them to the Super Bowl.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
LeBeau was a big part of it I agree.
FinFanFromCA - January 12, 2012

Billick will interview for the open OC position for the Falcons. Mike Smith was on Billick’s staff in Balt. We should have interviewed Billick.
FinFanFromCA - January 12, 2012

It has been nice to be able to pop in and check the threads every once in awhile, while at work, knowing that that are several like-minded individuals (not as many fans in Washington state as I would like there to be) ready to let the rest of us know the news as soon as any comes available! Is anyone else starting to lean toward the article linked to the Sentinel above….I know he is one of the better options out there but is it really worth all this!!!! Several other good names have been mentioned over the past couple of days, one being a couple posts above this. I just feel like…..well….a team like the Rams…..a desperate team whom more and more people can laugh at as the hours go by….just would like for him to make up his decision soon because the longer this goes on the more I hope he doesn’t go with us and I was initially very excited about this potential hire….

Another update via Adam Schefter
“A source close to Jeff Fisher insisted delay in chossing bw MIA and STL is not a leverage play and neither side has yet to make an offer.”
Neither team made an official offer??
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
I call Bulls.....when was our last interview....was it last week?
whataboutdafins - January 12, 2012
That's probably semantics
They have both offered the job. There just isn’t a dollar amount officially on the the table. Once he sits down to start a negotiations, then an “offer” will be made.
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
That's my guess.
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
Did I miss anything significant or just more waiting?
NJAlexH - January 12, 2012
All quiet on the western front.
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
You guys can have him
we’re tired of waiting, too.
dbcouver - January 12, 2012
No you take him.
I don’t want to go 8-8 for eternity. That would be an upgrade for you guys though.
NJAlexH - January 12, 2012
In our conference that's playoff material right there
dbcouver - January 12, 2012
No crap.
7-9 you might be in.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
He could wait himself out of both jobs.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
In some news...to keep it lively
Mike Mularky’s introductory press conference from yesterday is up at the Jags website. It was pretty good. He raised a few interesting points about the Jags club and especially about Blaine Gabbert. He fielded questions about Mel Tucker and further coaching vacancies (especially OC) and how he and Gene Smith will approach the offseason.
civwarbuff - January 12, 2012
Also the obvious questions about Buffalo.
They were less interesting.
civwarbuff - January 12, 2012
Ross has already been made to look like an idiot again
no matter the outcome…..
whataboutdafins - January 12, 2012
at this point
Ross should be keeping his options open. He should go interview chud. Carmichael is too busy with the playoffs for now, but chud is free. Then again, they interviewed him last year for the OC position so they already have some idea who he is. We should also interview hue jackson and chip kelly, maybe some other college coaches as well.
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile
I disagree.
I hope that Ross and Ireland are already prepared for Fisher’s eventual decision to take the position in St. Louis obviously if that is the decision he makes. The Dolphins have interviewed planty of very good candidates and hopefully know the direction of the organization as soon as Fisher makes his decision, one way or the other.
civwarbuff - January 12, 2012
*plenty
civwarbuff - January 12, 2012
it doesnt matter
They can’t look complacent, look at the rams yesterday, they went out and interviewed some candidates.
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile
They don't look complacent.
They are waiting upon their top candidate to make his decision between two organizations. He deserves the time to make this decision and he is taking it. He is without a doubt Ross’ and Irelands top candidate, if however he decides to take the position in St. Louis then Ross and Ireland will hire their favorite candidate between those who have been interviewed and there are some great candidates in that lot. Todd Bowles interview was (as harsh as it sounds most likely nothing more than tokenism and a fulfillment of the obligation of the Rooney Rule) and Joe Philibin is now essentially out of the question, but Mike Zimmer is a great candidate and they obviously have interest in Dave Toub.
I am assuming that the Dolphins have already made their decision if Fisher elects to coach the Rams.
civwarbuff - January 12, 2012
The Rams interviewed Dennis Allen and Aaron Kromer yesterday.
I like Dennis Allen alot and if Fisher were not to go to St. Louis I think they have a very good coach in Allen (they also interviewed I believe who I heard they are very high on), however Dennis Allen wasn’t interviewed in Miami.
Philibin is out of the equation, I would be stunned is Bowles is given the position and I would be very surprised if Toub is so I think its Mike Zimmer if Fisher goes to St. Louis.
civwarbuff - January 12, 2012
Ray Horton is who I heard they were high on.
civwarbuff - January 12, 2012
Horton Hears A Who?
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
The movie?
And Alpha im glad your listening I thought i was talking to myself LOL. The Rams only asked to interview Dennis Allen, the Broncos are playing this weekend so they can’t yet.
civwarbuff - January 12, 2012
I'm not high on Zimmer.. wish the Dolphins would just continue or make a choice already.
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
Why not? I think he is very good.
civwarbuff - January 12, 2012
Well, for me he's a defense guy. I'd rather Miami go for offensive skills.
And he hasn’t impressed much in defensive skills either… for me anyways….
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
The street version:
Horton hires a ho.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012

Dolfan88 - January 12, 2012

Yes, Rob Ryan sucks and Rex Ryan blows.

SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012

Lololol
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile
LOL Why get Rob? Why does Robs name even come up? Hes a terrible coach based on results. What am I missing?
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Because it would be fun for me.
It ain’t always about you….
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
LOL But from my POV this one is personal. Oh and he can't coach. Just further proof fans can be idiots.
His name has been floated by all sorts of fans but zero rumors of him being interviewed by anyone and there is a solid reason for that. He sucks.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Yeah,
My whole point is I would like the Phins – Jets game lead-ups a whole lot more. It’d be like a sit-com.
Like I said, it was for my enjoyment, not for the good of the franchise.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
Why you got to hate?
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Sorry.
It won’t happen again.
Have you guys considered Twiggy?
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
The old model? WTF does she know about football?
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
She might know someone who could convince Jeff Fisher to come to Miami.
See I’m thinking outside the box again.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
Yeah I think a model that is older then him is probably not a good route.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012

Some people might argue that he's made a deal with the devil,
so are the warmer settings you’re talking about in hell?
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
No. You know a nice place on the Beach. Maybe Fisher Island. I don't know.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
The more I think about it... man, we need mullets
The whole team. HAHA- even Reggie Bush. Not sure how that works- can anyone find me an example of a black dude with a mullet?
Fuhbawl - January 12, 2012

Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
"Jeff Fisher has announced he will retire from coaching"

Finhead83 - January 12, 2012

Alpha6 - January 12, 2012

Alpha6 - January 12, 2012

Fuhbawl - January 12, 2012

Alpha6 - January 12, 2012

texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
It's him tho. I checked.
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
He looks like sparano's brother, sans, mustache !
daytonadolfan - January 12, 2012
Jeff Fisher finally decided!
He’ll have both the grilled ham and swiss on rye AND the tuna salad sandwich for lunch. It was a tough decision but there was no reason to compromise. Even though it’s now past lunch.
He’s now working on the more important decision: supper.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
hahaha
Jeff Fisher = Brett Favre
Little Nicky 21 - January 12, 2012
Per my sources
Fisher has ran out of creative ways to not decide and has hired Brett Fare as senior advisor
Farorefox - January 12, 2012 via mobile
Good choice.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
funny
I’m looking forward to the Press Conference that schedules another press conference where he will dodge questions about whether or not he’s returning.
Little Nicky 21 - January 12, 2012

By the way , Happy Birthday mosul .
daytonadolfan - January 12, 2012

Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
From Omar Kelly:
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
QB: "maybe St. Louis"?
No, it’s STL. Either you believe in Bradford or you don’t, but they have him or the option to take Griffin at 2. We have Matt Moore or pretty much squat.
Little Nicky 21 - January 12, 2012
There is nothing "franchise" about Bardford
except his contract thus far. He hasn’t lead the rams to a better record than us the past 2 years so the “?” is appropriate.
Neo - January 12, 2012
either way
they also have the #2 pick in a 2-QB draft
Little Nicky 21 - January 12, 2012
They also have a moster contract of Bradford that they can't trade away
And we are picking top 10
Neo - January 12, 2012
They said, "South Beach is the place you ought to be," so he loaded up his truck and moved to Miami.
Swimming suits, ocean homes.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
What's an ocean home... lol
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012

SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012

Little Nicky 21 - January 12, 2012
What is this thing you refer to?? Snow?
daytonadolfan - January 12, 2012
It's like water, only colder.
Like little shaved ice falling from the sky….
And filling your driveway, at least until the snow plow comes through and fills it more.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
it comes in lemon flavor too
Little Nicky 21 - January 12, 2012
lmao
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
Stop on up and I'll give you a "lemon" sno-cone.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012

daytonadolfan - January 12, 2012
Thinking organs again....
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012

SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
Ahhhh I think I've seen it on tv, thanks slot .
daytonadolfan - January 12, 2012

SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012

“Y U NO THROW IT PERFECT EVERY TIME?” lol
Little Nicky 21 - January 12, 2012

Marino isn’t the coaching type, griese is if we are going ex-phins qbs. But griese is too old now.
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile
Yeah Marino does not have the make up and Bob can not even remember peoples names or the team he
is calling. My choice? Zach! But he needs to be an assistant first.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
yeah, ZT would be a great coach
JT seems to be more of a TV guy, but he may coach as well
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile

texascowpunk - January 12, 2012

phinfansc1980 - January 12, 2012
Newbie
I have been on this site for a few years but just signed up to post. I think you all do a great job and seem to have alot of fun with it. My opinon is I want a coach with Passion and a disire to make what they have work. It seemed like the first part of the season we were trying to put a square peg in to a round hole, than in the second half they actually put some players in better situations and let them play. I dont know if fisher is the answer I want some one who is HUNGERY and is smart enough to leave there ego at home and surrond themslves with good people and listwn to them.
Bakersfield Blowholes - January 12, 2012
Welcome to the site

single or double ply?
phinfansc1980 - January 12, 2012
quilted or with aloe vera?
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
Double? What kind of a question is that? Those sorts of things need to be gotten out of the way in the screening process.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
And how does a ass-wipe screening go?
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
Its a simple question about TB and a choice. Not a question created by an insane pervert on a blog.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Hey kiddo, and good point , lol
daytonadolfan - January 12, 2012
Hey Ive been in that place before this is gravy.

Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
Remember the Z key.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
I'll give him a key to the box later....
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
the z key saved my sanity , lol
daytonadolfan - January 12, 2012
they should add a mobile version of the z key
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile
On some phones you have to draw a Z on the screen with your right middle finger.
On the the voice activated ones, you have to say “Zorro”. It really works.*
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
LOL I was reading that thinking, really? how stupid!
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
The iPhone and Android apps have a "Next Comment" feature.
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
Yeah not working so great for me.
Not that feature but the entire app.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Well, it did take you this long to get on Twitter...
I can’t expect an old man like you to grasp the app right away….
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
sorry mosul, im 15 and i prefer the mobile site as well
First off, you can’t see fanshots. Second, ny phone has a slide out keyboard, and the app doesn’t turn when I slide it out, so I have to type sideways, also, its waaay too clutered, it should be nice and simple.
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile
I think its the phone not the app.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
same here
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile

Bakersfield Blowholes - January 12, 2012
Interesting series of tweets from Chris Kouffman:
Schefter revealed a LOT to Sid Rosenberg. He basically confirmed what I speculated about Fisher wanting a clause in contract about LA move
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
Schefter also reveals that Fisher HAS HIS STAFF ZIPPED UP. iI’s done. When he gets the concessions he wants, staff already put together.
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
Schefter says if it were up to Jeff Fisher, all this would be done. Fisher thought it would be done 2 days ago.
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
Schefter: Fisher is a big Jeff Ireland fan, in fact if Ireland were available and Fisher went to StL, he might even hire him as his GM
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
Dolphins still have a slight edge, if they work out the things Fisher wants, he’s a Miami Dolphin. If not, he’s a St Louis Ram.
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
Schefter oddly angry/combative in insistence that no offer’s been made and this is not about money. Fishers already made 17 yrs of HC salary
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
Fisher wants his authority mapped out in excruciating detail, right down to how many chiropractors he can bring on the road, catering, etc
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
Last one:
Honestly it sounds like a dude that was scarred by a bad owner and doesn’t want that again. Wants everything in writing.
Kevin Nogle - January 12, 2012
Thanks Mosul
Neo - January 12, 2012

Finhead83 - January 12, 2012

The ladies say I am, so that's what counts.
lol
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
I will give you that you look younger then you are.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
heh heh, thanks bro.
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
Just confirming my suspicions!
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
You're kinds suspicious since becoming a frawd dawg....
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
No, I've been suspicious since I joined the agency...
I’ve suffered chronic headaches since becoming a frawd dawg…
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
Stupid agency.. lol
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
Who puts the "Special" in Special Agent?
We do!
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
like Jerry's kids "Special"...
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
Offices line with schnozberry wallpaper!
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
LOL, same thought.
Scary.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
Maybe if they'd stop changing their mind every day whether they're a military organization or a law enforcement agency...
They can’t make up their minds what they want to be, slows every down, and baffles everyone with confusing policies!
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
Is that the same Special that's in Special Olympics?
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
And just like my Wife drives the Special Kids for school
Bakersfield Blowholes - January 12, 2012
You should see them shoot. Some of them just hit the ground in front of them....
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
LOL
I do feel sorry for some people and their shooting ability. Good thing we don’t do dynamic entries… at least for work!
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
Good Lord, no. I'd say 80% I would NOT do that with.
Not even, knock notice.. warrant service and even some arrests.
How do they pass them?
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
For some, waivers.
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
That makes sense.
I even stated yesterday that it could be just the process of hammering out a contract and Ross not wanting ANYTHING leaked after the mess last off season.
Still frustrating.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Thanks for the info.
phinfansc1980 - January 12, 2012
Hey this just in ...Wait damm it my computer broke, the bastard
Bakersfield Blowholes - January 12, 2012
thanks mosul
Good job keeping us updated
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile
I would, too.
It’s very similar to the situation Hoodie had in Cleveland.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
If Ross knows whats good for him
He’ll stop d*cking around and make this happen. He doesn’t what us (fans) to have to go into our next season without our Fisher. To say there will be h*ll to pay would be putting it VERY mildly.
Neo - January 12, 2012
Umm
WOW?
Neo - January 12, 2012
So it's the Rams he's going to?
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
Will it be anouced at east coast time?
Bakersfield Blowholes - January 12, 2012
Fisher Standard Time.
If you don’t know when the hell that is, don’t worry. Neither do we.
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
FST then?
Neo - January 12, 2012
Yep.
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
Thanks, its been a blast but time to do some real work so, later.
Bakersfield Blowholes - January 12, 2012
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Absolutely stunning!
Why doesn’t Schefter tell us something new?
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
LOL These guys never want to go too far our on a limb and be wrong.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Of course.
I have the makings of a journalist…
Jeff Fisher will coach in 2012 with some team. He will make a decision… eventually.
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
LOL Yes.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Don't know if that's good or bad for us...
Chud would be popular here.
The Earl - January 12, 2012
I know. I would prefer him if not Fisher but if he is there then Fish is here, right? F this is insane!
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Not right compared to what Ross is offering
Neo - January 12, 2012
Its all speculation.
I mean there might be some truth to all of these things but once something goes through 3 or 4 people the story is NEVER exactly the same so…………..
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
what. the. hell
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile
Dolphins better wait till the Super Bowl is over.
interview Carmichael and Weeden….

texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Also what is with this Sid guy and his cartoonish overwrought NE accent?
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Also why is he yelling in to the mic? WTF?
Wow I still love my hometown but if thats what passes for sports radio there I pass.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Lol I love how Sid gave that big intro for Schefter saying he had BREAKING NEWS
Even midway through when it was clear Adam really had nothing new he still called it breaking news and they weren’t going to go to break haha. A little ovah dramatic
phinsphan85 - January 12, 2012
Yeah he sounds like a real jerk off. I could not listen to that pile of crap every day.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Dude did you hear the last caller?
Lol Sid just blew him off. He sounded a bit over optimistic but I actually agree with the base of his point.
phinsphan85 - January 12, 2012
Yeah that is the first time I have ever heard him and I am already out on his big ole bag of nothing.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
WTF is the point of this!?
Fishers not even an amazing coach, he’s average, that’s it, AVERAGE!
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile
Not according to the league. Sometimes the numbers do not tell the whole story.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
6 4 27 9 5 1 32
I see what you mean.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
I don't know what just happened.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Those numbers didn't tell the whole story
The Earl - January 12, 2012
So true.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
You forget Miami, the loudness, the Cubans...
lol
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
You mean cigars, right?
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
No I know. But man is this guy obnoxious as hell. I listen to sports radio all the time and this guy
is a freaking joke. Hes like what I think that Joey kid grown up must sound like. Annoying as F!
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Also I bet Nicky loves this guy so there's that............
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
According to those tweets Mosul posted
It sounds like he’s more worried about stability than anything else. Instability is probably a big factor in why he never had consistent success.
The Earl - January 12, 2012
That and a cheap owner

At least we know that if he goes to STL, we screwed up
The Earl - January 12, 2012
Screw down instead.
That’s the key.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
Back to legs up?
lol
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
Now you're screwing up.
Bad form.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
no no no no... legs up, drill down...
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
No, that's where Favre went wrong.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
LOL...
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
At least screw over.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
Ciao,
gotta run.
SlotMachinePlayer - January 12, 2012
Take care....

If this is true, then it sounds like the ball is in Ireland's court
The Earl - January 12, 2012
wow
So ireland is the problem AND the solution.
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile
LOL I love when something makes no sense at all but also makes all the sense on the world.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Ireland is the linchpin in the whole deal
My guess is the reason this deal hasn’t gone down yet is because Ireland is balking at some things that Fisher wants control over.
The Earl - January 12, 2012
Oh my. What a CF.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
If Kouffman is right
then it basically comes down to whether or not Ireland is willing to give up some power. And I agree that Ross just can’t fire Ireland because he would then go with Fisher to STL.
The Earl - January 12, 2012
Yeah it makes no sense but he might as well give up the power because if Ross were to fire him he is not going
to regain it by going to STL.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
That is true, but he also may not want to give up any power
meaning he isn’t as willing to work with Fisher as Fisher is willing to work with him.
The Earl - January 12, 2012
Crap on a cracker.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Make sure he eats it
phinsphan85 - January 12, 2012
Only if he says "Go f**k yourself Miami" then he will have to eat the cat poop.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
What-the-hell is this?
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
LOL.. I don't that apllies to anyone except Armando....
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
*think
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
LOL These are cracking me up because King has said the same thing a million times as to where Fish will wind up and yet people continue to ask the same questions over and over and over.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Yeah, that one was pretty ridiculous.
I’ve heard Bucs, Colts, and Raiders all asked about earlier whether or not Fisher could go to them…
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
LOL And its never ending. People are such morons and then they make a big deal over King acting miffed at being
asked the same thing over and over.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
What ass hats
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
At least we have some confirmation...
Fisher will choose…
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
Yes but did he go with the ribeye or the t-bone and the red wine or the whiskey sour?
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Mmmmm
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
He shocked everyone with a 3rd option...
A turkey club after the ribeye and t-bone went cold.
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
Doh WTF? Who passes up a ribeye for a turkey sandwich?
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Someone that can't make a decision?
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
Someone that cant make a proper decision.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
alright guys
Face it, the decision will not come today, dont get your hopes up for tommorrow either.
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile
You stink. How dare you tell the truth and ruin our party....
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
we can still have a party
Just no stache and sexy mullet
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile
I'm thinking that if his decision doesn't come by Saturday...
Both Miami and STL may move on and Fisher would choose the team that didn’t make a hire. Still think it has to be tomorrow.
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
Hahahahaha, he screws himself
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
that would teach him to be indecisive
I wonder how long it took him to pick his wife, giirlfriend, choose a name for his children (if any), etc
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile
If you were not a child I would tell you to shut your whore mouth.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
ROFL
Finhead83 - January 12, 2012
Heh heh heh
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
sorry tex, but you sorta just did
And I definately hope he makes a decision ASAP, just telling the truth based on how its been so far.
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile
Just kidding bro. Your one of the best around here even if you did show up seemingly high the other night.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
wait, what?
When did I show up seemingly high? What did I say that made it seem that way?
AnishB15 - January 12, 2012 via mobile
Dude, narly, cranola, bogart, hit, sycadylic, etc...
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
You seemed quite confused a couple of nights ago. I was worried for you.
texascowpunk - January 12, 2012
Teachers say the same thing... lol
Alpha6 - January 12, 2012
just for clarification
I have never done drugs, and I was just tired
AnishB15 - January 13, 2012 via mobile
No Fisher Please
Never seems to work out when you hire a couch like this. They are never hungry and usually quit when it gets tough. Maybe it will be a little different since he never won anything but I have a feeling it wont. To quote coach Rah we need somebody “Youngry”
Party13 - January 12, 2012
(Dolphins HR Staff) Please shread Mr. Fisher's application for head coach.
Getting excited over Fisher is like getting excited over going out with Rhoda…
Mary is too busy in the broadcasting booth… So we are opting for 2nd best.
To hell with Fisher… He’s a barely over 500 coach.
He deserves top dollar?
Don’t fool yourselves people… This is about money.
This is agent driven… In the words of Mr. Bankruptcy, “Show me the money.”
