It's quiet in the football world tonight. What a perfect time to bring back the Tuesday Night Random Live Thread. It's a chance to sit back, relax, and discuss - well anything. That's why it's "random."
Tonight's discussion starter is: What is/was your New Year's Resolution, and have you already broken it?
Just remember, this is not a "CKC." Please don't go overboard with the profanity, and keep the pictures to ones appropriate for everyone.
Thanks.

I didn't make any resolutions this year
The Earl - January 10, 2012
Me either.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Way to start the discussion guys!
Kevin Nogle - January 10, 2012
I know. We are tearing it up tonight.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Well i did say to make a post so i did!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
lmao
Alpha6 - January 10, 2012
yes I see u left a huge line err paragraph!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
LOL...
my goals are to read more and be a good dad. The second one scares me.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
The second one scares you but your a good man so it will come naturally. Trust me!
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
So my question is how long until Tebow signs the biggest endorsement deal ever by an athlete?
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
It depends on the product
The Earl - January 10, 2012
I am sure that he will be selective given his moral base but he can also name his price.
He will be sought after like no other.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
That's true, especially if he somehow makes it to a Super Bowl
The Earl - January 10, 2012
Which strangely I think is possible.
With the way that defense is playing and the fact that they have taken the reigns off of him all of a sudden it is possible. Despite what some say I still think defense can win a SB even if that’s probably the hardest way to get there.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
If Tebow won a SB, all the Sunday Countdown people's heads would explode
in fact, ESPN might shut down.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
it wont be long term, he will not be in the league for long
21Dave - January 10, 2012
I still think he could be a top level TE
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Jimmy swagert will take care of this!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
Isn’t that the preacher dude that got caught up in all that sin?
TAYDIGGA - January 10, 2012
He was in all that alright....
Alpha6 - January 10, 2012
All Christians sin
The Earl - January 10, 2012
Well being born is a sin.
UGH, Christianity makes no sense.
NJAlexH - January 10, 2012
If you really wish to discuss it, you should email me
The Earl - January 10, 2012
Don't want to get into a debate.
It could get ugly these things get very passionate but if you must know I’m agnostic and I’ll leave it at that.
NJAlexH - January 10, 2012
Oh I won't argue about it
But I enjoy discussing it. Feel free to email me sometime. I don’t get upset over it, I just discuss it.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
Yes but some are more hypocritical about then others.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Um... can I name some?
Alpha6 - January 10, 2012
Nah. No need to go there. Just a general statement.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
LOL I knew that... sheeeit.
Ooops
Alpha6 - January 10, 2012
That is true
but it’s a misconception that Christians are always perfect or righteous.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
get em Duke, they need to learn
21Dave - January 10, 2012
LOL
The Earl - January 10, 2012
Big misconception. But I blame RWC on a lot of the hate against Christians these days.
TAYDIGGA - January 10, 2012
No politics please.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
I assume that means right wing conservative
and I wish the church wouldn’t get involved with politics, per se.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
I agree with that 100% and with that we shall stop.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
No prob, man, I wasn’t going any further than that, that’s why I acronymed it. My bad.
TAYDIGGA - January 10, 2012
Your good bro.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
One thing I never discuss is politics
So you don’t have to worry about that with me. LOL
The Earl - January 10, 2012
So Duke do you like Romney? JK
21Dave - January 10, 2012
I'm unaffiliated
I don’t get involved with politics.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
LOL!!!
TAYDIGGA - January 11, 2012
I don't worry about you anyway Duke. If it were just you then it would be no issue as
you are ALWAYS respectful.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Agree Duke
21Dave - January 10, 2012
not all are CHristians wow think they are, I was born and rasied in a church and still goin often. I just think some get twisted
throwing stones at others and then , it becomes all about money for the Church. Just not how I was raised
21Dave - January 10, 2012
Delete this Tex, I messed it up from the start
21Dave - January 10, 2012
there are plenty of people that sit in a pew on Sundays
that you would never know that they are a Christian on Mondays.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
THIS^^^^^^^^^^
21Dave - January 10, 2012
that’s a majority of christianity to be honest. “the road is narrow…” People think you can sin, ask for forgiveness and keep doing it. Not realizing you have to change. That’s why I laugh when I hear, “America is a Christian nation” LOL, we may identify with it but that’s about it.
TAYDIGGA - January 11, 2012
Of course they (I?) do. But being in sin and sinning are two different things.
TAYDIGGA - January 10, 2012
that is true
The Earl - January 10, 2012
I think you are thinking about the one that tryed to sell 85 million time shairs in an old holyaday inn!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
It’s going to happen. I mean, Nike should have a field day with it. If I was a director I’d subtly have him running on water or something while training. I say subtly because you’d have to do it in a way that leaves it up for debate so the zealots won’t cry blasphemy.
TAYDIGGA - January 10, 2012
I don't think Tebow would do something like that
The Earl - January 10, 2012
Apsolutlyhis first game starter here in Miami it sprinkled that was a hint!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
The perfect product for him........ Tebow's Jesus Juice !
and before anyone get’s offended, God has a sense of humor… think platypus !( or nicky)
daytonadolfan - January 10, 2012
Or Tiny Tim..... singing.
Alpha6 - January 10, 2012
In a bathrobe & tossing a bunch of seeds all around thinking he is jonny appelseed!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012

The Earl - January 10, 2012
Meh, you know. Just hanging out
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
Read today that Tannehill has a serious foot injury
that might hurt his draft stock.
The Earl - January 10, 2012

21Dave - January 10, 2012
Yeah, Tex showed me that
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012

My resolution-take the step up from JV to varsity next school year as a junior.
AnishB15 - January 10, 2012 via mobile
There you go. Work your tail off and you will get there.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
already am
I’m literally on an apples, celery, carrots and beans diet to slim down and speed up. The beans for protien since I don’t eat meat.
AnishB15 - January 10, 2012 via mobile
Yeah thats tough.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Can you have whey?
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
damn fast than me
21Dave - January 10, 2012
I just know its the best protein you can get in a powder. Soy is out there but it can mess with a growing male.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
I used Whey over half my life
21Dave - January 10, 2012
Yeah its good and will not mess with your nuts like soy can.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
yeah, but i personally hate the taste
I do have another protien drink though, I drink it rarely because its very expensive and I’m low on cash.
AnishB15 - January 10, 2012 via mobile
Well if you get it flavored its fine.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
get the strawbeery or choco and add nestle quick mix. I did for years, but if you a man you will choke it down
21Dave - January 10, 2012

I will try the nestle with it though, sounds okay.
AnishB15 - January 10, 2012 via mobile
Or just mix it with chocolate milk.

TAYDIGGA - January 10, 2012
Question, why is it breaking new that RGlll is coming out when he said he was after the bowl game?
21Dave - January 10, 2012
because he announced he was having second thought
finzrule - January 10, 2012
got ya
21Dave - January 10, 2012
He said he did not know for sure after the bowl game and that he would discuss it with his family and coach.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
wrong on the field he said he was going to take his game to the level and try his skills in the NFL. not word for word but close
21Dave - January 10, 2012

21Dave - January 10, 2012
dave
How’re you?
AnishB15 - January 10, 2012 via mobile
SUp Anish, what spot are you playing
21Dave - January 10, 2012
everything, literally
This past season on JV, I have spent decent playing time at all of the following positions: quarterback, wide reciever, tight end, halfback, H-back, safety(both), linebacker(both), cornerback, defensive end and even punter(the regular kicker had the flu). Yeah, I have a very diverse skill set, I’m like a jack of all trades, master of none. I can play all of those positions good, but am not a stud in any position, just sort of all over the place.
AnishB15 - January 10, 2012 via mobile
advice Pick 2 and run with them, one will be your spot. Im guess your a small guy are you fast?
21Dave - January 10, 2012
5'11" 180 lbs, not very fast
I’m best at qb, H-back/tight end/runningback and safety, and my school already has a great qb, so I guess I will try to focus on H-back and safety
AnishB15 - January 10, 2012 via mobile
that was what I was going to say, it is where I played and if you grow you can be moved.
21Dave - January 10, 2012
hello JV, want some tips or you just going at this alone
21Dave - January 10, 2012
fine Anish B15 when you get caught by a crackback dont call my name kid. I reach out to help and you just poop on me, we could have been like Joe Green and the kid in the coke ad, but fine I amhurt now
21Dave - January 10, 2012

kmb8488 - January 10, 2012

texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Hope so!
I want to be a legend. lol.
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
LOL I have a plan.......................
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Here's my question: if the Phinsider was a real football team, what position would you play?
Also list your height and weight—REAL HEIGHT AND WEIGHT. We’re not in the NBA here.
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
MLB 6ft and too much.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
knowing what I know now and how my body feel after years of sports, I would try for Left out
21Dave - January 10, 2012
QB, FB, or ILB
6’0" 260, lazer rocket arm. LOL
The Earl - January 10, 2012
LT if I was taller
The Earl - January 10, 2012
Interesting
I’d play either middle or weakside linebacker. 6’3", 210 (though I can get up to 235 in a blink), and I ran a legit 4.5 when I played. No lie.
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
When I was about 19 or 20, I was in the 4.5 range
but I was only 175-180 lbs too.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
I was 4.5 ran 1 - 4.48
21Dave - January 10, 2012
I got to 4.47 twice, but both were unofficial times
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
cause you were dreaming...
Alpha6 - January 10, 2012
That's fast
I have the footwork for OT, but not the size. I would love to play LT.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
we could use you right not a RT, you would be better than Colombo
21Dave - January 10, 2012
Too short, but I could try to cut block someone
The Earl - January 10, 2012
Im sure you would still be better than him
21Dave - January 10, 2012
You could be a Hernandez-type tight end, Duke
He’s fast.
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
I'm too old and too fat now
I could still be a FB.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
Speed is pretty much a given trait on my dad's side of the family
He and his brothers were all the fastest guys on any team they joined. Oddly, the only guy in my family who isn’t over-the-top fast is my brother. Instead, he was given the gift of insane post play in basketball. Dude can work people twice his size in the paint. Go figure.
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
yeah we dont dont know where I got my skill from, because my parents pretty much bought me
21Dave - January 10, 2012
Huge exspendature!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
I think I was free opon purchase, but as time came I got a bit expensive
21Dave - January 10, 2012
discount Dave!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
LOL
21Dave - January 10, 2012
lol. Well, you had skills, regardless of origin.
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
Im sure his postup game is better than Lebron's.
That is honestly the only bad thing about his game.
NJAlexH - January 10, 2012
better than me, I think I crapped my pants when I did it
21Dave - January 10, 2012
I would go for MLB or FS , nothing on O, to much pain in the long run
21Dave - January 10, 2012
already listed my weight and height above (in response to dave)
And see above for position as well.
AnishB15 - January 10, 2012 via mobile
WR
6’2" 205
LimeyPhin - January 10, 2012 via mobile
Nothing probably.
5’6" and 175 doesn’t really lend itself towards football.
Chupathingy - January 10, 2012
WR...5'8"
I’ve been told I’ve been blessed with the hands of an angel
Kdog92 - January 10, 2012
Yes, but Adam Lambert doesn't count....
Alpha6 - January 10, 2012
LOL
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012

texascowpunk - January 10, 2012

21Dave - January 10, 2012

Chupathingy - January 10, 2012
LOL Just watch the words you use. Oh and good to see you around Chupa!
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012

texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
I was trying to think of that one guy, but couldn't think of his name
The Earl - January 10, 2012
I have a long list.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
You mentioned him in your old sig

21Dave - January 10, 2012
I doubt it.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
If I were you I’d go with Mosul anything tied to Matty (as in Matty ice) is not a good look these days—2 points really?!!!

The Denver Tebows and Tim Tebow
NJAlexH - January 10, 2012
Tebow-ets!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
I dislike Tebow
But have to admit I was pretty impressed on Sunday.
LimeyPhin - January 10, 2012 via mobile
I like him I just don't think that QB is his best long term position but last week went a ways to swaying me a bit.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Agreed.
I think a lot of people have overlooked the offense Denver run, it’s kind of been this years wildcat. Once D’s figure out how to stop it then it will be made redundant. Denver D has been very good as well. Von Miller is a beast.
LimeyPhin - January 10, 2012 via mobile
But then he threw a wrinkle in there by throwing the ball. No one saw that coming.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
miami dolphins and robert griffin iii

AnishB15 - January 10, 2012 via mobile

wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012

Kdog92 - January 10, 2012
Yeah such is life. My son said the same.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012

AnishB15 - January 10, 2012 via mobile
so...anyone think Fisher will make his decision tomorrow?
Kdog92 - January 10, 2012
Yes.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
F'n hope so. I am sick of waiting
I’ve been holding off on believing any of this hype, because I don’t want to feel the way I did last year when we blew the Harbaugh deal and brought back Danny DeVito Jr.
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
Its going to be ok.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Besides I will talk you down if need be.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
How would you feel about them bringing back Bowles?
The Earl - January 10, 2012
@FakeOmarKelly: If Jeff Fisher doesn’t deliver his decision via haiku, I’d like to know just what the hell he’s been doing with his time.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
It only takes like 3 seconds to make Haiku it better be an Epic.
NJAlexH - January 10, 2012
He's thinking to himself: Moore or Bradford, Moore or Bradford?
That’s either a good sign for Moore or a bad sign for Bradford.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
well at 12:00 im exspecting news!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
I'm intrigued by Winston Moss...
that’s who Oakland is going after I would wager.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
yeah...but I think he's heading to Oakland IMO
Kdog92 - January 10, 2012
As soon as I read that Jackson was fired
I knew what was going to happen. GB is a well run franchise. We need to step in and sign him before the Raiders do.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
I have no clue with him.
And for our sake I hope he goes to the Rams.
NJAlexH - January 10, 2012
I think
Fisher wanted to wait until RGIII made it official to see what plans are between Fins and Rams IF Griffin decided to declare. Now that he has, I think all of this waiting will come to an end pretty quickly.
PhinNomenol! - January 10, 2012 via Android app
Very possible
The Earl - January 10, 2012

TAYDIGGA - January 11, 2012
Thank god
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
Is this in jest?
I actually believe in ghosts and aliens, so it doesn’t make much to sell me on a paranormal or extraterrestrial experience.
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
True dat bro. Unbelievable, but they were there....
Alpha6 - January 10, 2012
yes keith!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
There may be life elsewhere in the universe, but the probability that they have visited earth
any time in the recent past is slim to none.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
There is definitely life somewhere other than earth.
The universe is so vast that I would be surprised if there wasn’t.
NJAlexH - January 10, 2012
Space worms?
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
It's possible, but as of right now, we'd never know
our technology limits us, and unless we discover new physics or find a way around the physics we know, we’ll probably never find out.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
I agree that life exists somewhere, we've found some on the moons of some planets
The question here is intelligent life, even an ant can be considered intelligent
AnishB15 - January 10, 2012 via mobile
I don't think we've actually found any extraterrestial life in this solar system
but life that is similar to anything on this planet, including intelligent life is far beyond the boundaries that current physics let us explore. For example, Kepler 22b is considered an earth-like planet within the inhabitable zone of a star similar to ours. But even if that planet did hold life, it’s about 600 light years away. We’ll never know, unless someone there sent us a message 600 years ago.
And if you look at the Drake equation, it calculates that there are as many as 150 possible life capable worlds in the Milky Way. However, if you look at more conservative estimates, the equation states that earth is unique in the galaxy. It’s all pretty interesting stuff.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
habitable, not inhabitable
The Earl - January 10, 2012
whats new!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
Well, they're not new... but I did I did saw a UFO
Alpha6 - January 10, 2012

I give Ross and Ireland their props for setting their mind, ignoring the haters and righting the ship…. with a helicopter (Air Phin 1). Especially Ross for having the balls to keep Ireland around in spite of all the fans calling for his head.

NJAlexH - January 10, 2012
Something that just dawned upon me.
Very random I know but half of all doctors finished in the bottom of their class. Think about that for a second.
NJAlexH - January 10, 2012
Yes. Unless everyone finishes with the same scores. Then what happens?
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Then Nicky is tall and Alpha is straight.

My thoughts as well.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
All 2 points of him.
NJAlexH - January 10, 2012
Yeah, I don't get that. NYG's has a great pass rush
But what was the point in trading away a shatload of picks for Julio Jones if you can’t even even crack the red zone in the playoffs?
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
You mean 0
The credit for those points goes on the defense, not offense.

What on Earth is Oakland's problem?
I know they have a new GM but gosh. They fire a coach every year, what do they expect? Someone should remind them of their less than putrid record since they were in Super Bowl XXXVII. They expect to win it all every year still? Can’t blame Al Davis this time
phinsphan85 - January 10, 2012
I hear that Al Davis managed to fire him from the grave.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
He probably wrote it in his will

texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
I wish the Phins could wrap things up that damn fast.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Only with the right HC though
The Earl - January 10, 2012
Well sure and they got a coach that I did not want but when they found the guy they wanted the closed the
deal right there and then.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Genius idea. Eliminate all the bad coaching options so we can only hire the right ones
Why didn’t we think of this sooner?
Also, it’s easy to close the deal with a coaching candidate when they’re not the premier hire on the market. Fisher’s the big dog and he knows it.
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012

wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
And sometimes that shit is green.
NJAlexH - January 10, 2012
Lmao!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
What will suck is the fact that the Phins job is far more desirable than the Rams head coaching position
They have arguably two good players on defense, an underachiever offensive line, zero weapons in the receiver corps, an aging backfield and a quarterback who may or may not be any good. They went 2-14 for a reason, and that’s a mighty big rebuild job waiting for Fisher if he takes the job in St. Louis.
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
Here are reasons I can see him going to the Lou
1. WEAK division
Easy wins that bump up his percentage/image
2. Waltz into most post seasons as opposed to dethroning the Pats
3. Bradford isn’t exactly flinging big yard passes on a consistent basis anyway, so a strong ground game offense won’t be met with resistance
4. St louis will be like Burger King, he can have it his way!
5. 2-14… Really, how high are you expectations to consider the Great Fisher to have turned this team around?
PhinNomenol! - January 10, 2012 via Android app
Because we are use to being let down but at some point the odds have to turn, right?

I couldn’t bear watching that game and to think it was so hyped up.
NJAlexH - January 10, 2012
It was pretty disappointing
daytonadolfan - January 10, 2012
Yeah it was brutal.
The offense looked like they had practice together one time. Bamas D is great but that shit show on the offense for LSU is on them.

texascowpunk - January 10, 2012

I once sang most of the song Rappers Delight at my ex-wifes work Christmas party to win a $200 gift cert to Target.
I was of course fueled by several beers. I had competition but I was the only one that actually knew most of the words to the song. For those of you that are too young to know, Rappers Delight by the Sugarhill Gang was one of the first real rap songs to be popular back in the early 80’s. I know this because of my epic roller skating days back in Kendall. Anyone remember the rink across the street from the Falls? Yeah that’s the one where I spent many an hour in my youth.

It was very popular at the rink back in the day.

The Earl - January 10, 2012
I am taking the "embarrassing" question down here
Let’s see …
As a high school senior, I threw up all over myself while some girl was moving in to kiss me. She was yucky looking, so I didn’t feel too bad. Still, I felt ashamed.
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
LOL Did you seem my epic drunk moment?
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
lol. Yes. I can't picture you doing that
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
Yeah I can't either. Alcohol is a magical thing.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
things just seam so effing rite!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
Yeah it did at the moment. Good thing the ex was driving that night.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Well it was all right you won a 200 dollar Target Gift Card.
NJAlexH - January 10, 2012
Yeah it was worth it and that was like circa 1995 so it was worth a lot more back then.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
yeah 125.50!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
You went the wrong direction.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
83.30
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
Still sliding down the wrong slope.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
till i find sum mud fix this hole!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
How Yucky on a scale from Jocelyn Wildenstein to Brooklyn Decker?
NJAlexH - January 10, 2012
And Jets fans rejoice!
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Is it going to be mega-spiteful on Sparano's part if he becomes Jest's offensive coordinator
I am thinking yes.
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
Not on my behalf.
We tossed him to the yeah. The man’s gotta work. And I haven’t read reports of teams fighting to the death over him.
It’s not like he left Fins for the Jets. And I have not heard him bad mouth us. No foul in my book.
PhinNomenol! - January 11, 2012 via Android app
they made phone calls we get there 1 pick!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
If teams were fighting over him and he chose the Jets
thats more than enough reason to hate on the guy besides the fact that well, he works for the Jets.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012

Two Signature Moves
1. The Pushover Pivot
Guaranteed to spin out of the way of even the most inept defender
2. The Colombo Sidestep
Named after yours truly, for the defense not quick enough to maneuver the Pushover Pivot and make it look natural, now there is the Colombo Sidestep. He simply moves and lets the defender run frees.

wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
The Jets currently have no one that could exploit any weakness in Long.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
what about Vernon Gholston?
LOL
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
The current FA?
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
If FA stands for Fat Ass

Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
What else would it have meant?
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012

run the ball 50 times a game
of course sanchez is worse than Henne, so they might never pass the ball.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
Yeah it might be their best bet.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
I like when Sneeze Cheese passes

Agent J 78 - January 10, 2012
ba-zing!
The Earl - January 10, 2012
Here is another one that is good as a Dolphins fan bad if your a Jets fan
Maybe Tony will take over the OL as well?
Agent J 78 - January 10, 2012
Yeah he was a good line coach.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Oh please don't forget your trash
Colombo is all bagged up and waiting. He’d look awesome in Gang Green.
PhinNomenol! - January 11, 2012 via Android app
Yes! They thought Wayne Hunter was amazing, just wait!
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
I liked TS, I really did
but I will have no choice but to hate him if he goes to the Jets, especially where we will be paying him for the next 2 years.
Agent J 78 - January 10, 2012
We only have to pay him the difference between what he gets from them and what his contract was for.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
So he'll make what about 1 million as OC?
and his HC salary was about 3 million, wasn’t it? So Ross would be paying him 2 million to be the OC for the Jets.
Agent J 78 - January 10, 2012
I bet he makes closer to 2 mil in NY.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Henne goes to NY then!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
LOL... Henne and sanchez on the same team
new records for most INTs thrown next year.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
Don't be surprised
Some of Henne’s best games were against the Jets.
Agent J 78 - January 10, 2012
Well sanchez plays 4th Q.!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
LOL
Chad does play well in the 1st 3 quarters
Agent J 78 - January 10, 2012
Airgo!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
LOL That would be funny.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
well that's in the chyts then!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
We can call it sabotage pay!
PhinNomenol! - January 11, 2012 via Android app
holy crap that's depressing
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
I guess I am not the only one that sees this. lol
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
seriously..
that is a sad fact. Occupy Joe Robbie
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
I don't know what the exact figures are/will be
but the bottom line is we will be paying Sparano to work for the Jets.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
and once again
the Dolphins find a way to kick me square in the nuts
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
How is that bad though?
When they finish 6-10, leading the league in FPs, won’t that be worth it?
The Earl - January 11, 2012
FP's..
fake punts?
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
fist pumps
fist pumps = field goals
The Earl - January 11, 2012
I feel dumb
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
lol
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
Barely
0-16, that would be worth it
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
I'd be more comfortable if he was destroying the Jets
without us still paying his damn salary
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
but we're paying him to destroy the jets
it’s like he’s a double agent.
The Earl - January 11, 2012
here's the part that I dislike
why are we paying him? He should be paying us for allowing him to work here for 4 years
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Pretty much
but that 2 year extention Ross gave him is the reason.
With a new job the Dolphins pay the difference in salary. So if he was making 3 million as HC and NYJ pay him 1 million as OC we pay him 2 million as the difference.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
lol no I got that
I just want to know why he deserves money
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Because he has the most emphatic fist pump in the NFL?
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
That was fast, Wikipedia:
Agent J 78 - January 10, 2012
Wow. Ok then.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
wonder how the Jets feel about that
Shonn Greene must be counting his money
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
If he learns how to hold onto the ball.
Lets hope he is the starter again next year.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
Lazafare as far as i'm concerned ty!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012

kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
So ... predictions for tomorrow
Do we get our man, or will we be a runner-up yet again?
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
We announce Fisher and when GB looses we get our new DC. Also Tony has his annual uncomfortable news conference
but this time its with a different guy he does not like. Rex…………..
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
I've read that Gregg Williams wants to be Fisher's DC
That’d be just fine with me.
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
Where is he now?
The Earl - January 10, 2012
New Orleans
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
Yeah I said GB but meant Saints.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
can he make a lateral move like that?
The Earl - January 10, 2012
His contract is up.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
ah ok
The Earl - January 10, 2012
IF that happened, you'd never hear another complaint about the Dolphins not blitzing enough
Gregg Williams implements the blitz like it’s going out of style.
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
he runs a hybrid 4-3 doesn't he?
The Earl - January 10, 2012
Yeah, pretty much
He’s also big on safety play, so expect some tidying up in that department if Fisher and Williams do indeed land in Miami.
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
rookie or vet?
The Earl - January 10, 2012
Wilson was indeed a good bick up last draft then!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
same as us!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
It's been talked about a lot, so I am going to assume it can indeed be done

If it is a raize yes i'm back beer run!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
Yes.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Hey, late to the party

Agent J 78 - January 10, 2012
No. Not really.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
What if Miami hired both Schottys?
Marty @ HC and Brian @ OC.
The Earl - January 10, 2012
no!
wild zion beaver - January 10, 2012
Nah.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
I just saw the idea on twitter
The Earl - January 10, 2012
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
lol. Tex, I've never seen anyone go after Twitter like this. You are a natural
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
LOL
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Seriously, could he not get a job with any of the other 30 teams?
Agent J 78 - January 10, 2012
spite
The Earl - January 10, 2012
You think JT got booed when he returned....... at least all Dolphans
still loved JT at heart.
Agent J 78 - January 10, 2012
Yeah oh well.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
Fuck it. I am done with the Fisher stuff. Too stressful and annoying for me
If he goes to Rams or Raiders, so be it.
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
Stop.
texascowpunk - January 10, 2012
yawn @ Fisher
Little Nicky 21 - January 10, 2012
also
for the love of Tebow no 2nd round QB’s!
Little Nicky 21 - January 10, 2012
Do yourself a favour and don't watch the draft
You may end up saving your TV.
Agent J 78 - January 10, 2012
I'm telling you
the most likely scenario is trading up to #2 overall and drafting Matt Kalil.. because that is the biggest kick in the balls possible.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
I don't think we're even capable of that
Reiff will be just as good as Kalil, IMO, so no need to trade up in order to crush Nick’s dreams when we can do that job with our No.9 pick.
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
true
but I feel that the trade up will get my hopes up so high.. and then Ireland and his “too-small-for-his-head” face can appear on my tv and shit all over my dreams lol
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
It sounds like Ireland is on the shortest leash ever
So fear not; he can’t hurt you anymore …
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
I hate him so much
lol
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Really?
Breaking news of the day!
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
I'm the Adam Schefter of the Phinsider lol
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
He's too tall
You need another “insider” to imitate
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
Only one who isn't "too tall" is Costas
and screw Costas. Costas can get it in the butt with the business end of a spatula
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
lol
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
out landish!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
he sucks lol
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
It's easy to hate him. He's a twat
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
totally..
huuuuge douche
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
I could care less as long as he builds us into a
winning team, like now. If he trades up for RG3 he gets 1-2 year pass IMO.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
I think I would stop watching football at that point
but last year when it was announced we traded up to the end of the 2nd round I would have bet a paycheck it was going to be Ryan Mallett, so you never know.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
exactly
that was a monster kick to the nads..
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
So ... we draft second-round-worthy QBs in the first round?
kmb8488 - January 10, 2012
no
either go get Griffin or don’t bother
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Interesting
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
I feel like it's a wasted pick
when you can get stud WR’s, LB’s, DB’s etc etc in the 2nd/3rd round. If we aren’t going to get a franchise caliber QB, I don’t see a reason to take a guy like Weeden or Foles when their ceiling doesn’t reach “franchise” status
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
First off, no one knows Foles' ceiling right now. The guy could be Roethlisberger 2.0
Or a dud. No one knows.
That said, I’d be waaaaay down with Michael Floyd, Alshon Jeffery or Courtney Upshaw at No.9. Those are splash picks, IMO.
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
I like Kirkpatrick, but I'd rather get a pure cover guy if given the choice
Kirkpatrick is the kind of player we hoped Sean Smith would be, I think.
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
exactly
great description, said the same thing last night. 6’1 215, can cover, and is physical as hell
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Yeah, I figured he was a Smith-type player when I first read about him
And then I watched Kirkpatrick play last season and realized that no one wanted to get hit by him. He’s a truck, and he’s very good speed for such a physical corner.
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
yeah I wouldn't be mad at all if we went Impact Skill Player at 9
especially since Griffin and Luck won’t be there at 9. If we want one, we gotta trade up (which I advocate), but I’m not going to be super pissed if we DON’T sell the farm for a QB in this draft. But if we sit at 9 and take a lineman? Headsplosion.
I would love to see Jeffery here with Marshall (because he may also make Marshall expendable for a trade-up next season if needed), or Upshaw/Kirkpatrick from Bama. I’d even be down with trading down a few spots and grabbing Richardson, because he’s going to be a 1500 yard back every single year. If we can drop down and load up with picks, I’d be willing to take him, since I think Daniel Thomas is a dud.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Richardson is going to go top 10, maybe even top 5
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
maybe
maybe not. Can never tell with RB’s. And if we are targeting a RB, I would love Lamar Miller in the early 2nd if he’s there. He’s a horse
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
The trade-down scenario for Richardson is a good one
He’s as automatic a franchise back as you’ll see coming out of college, and he’s built to take a shitload of punishment.
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
Yeah, Lamar should really be a Dolphin
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
definitely
but no, we got the D-Train who won’t go off his tracks even if the OL is standing on them..
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
It would be an amazing 1-2 punch with
him and Reggie
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
You want a comfy environment for a rookie QB?
Richardson and Bush in the backfield and Marshall and Bess out wide is a good start. Insert former NCAA power forward at TE and we are a GO.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Hybred at best!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
Trent Richardson is a hybrid human/Predator
he’s what Reggie Bush would look like if Reggie started taking 8 concurrent steroid cycles at the age of 12 and never stopped lol
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
lmao!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
Recruit Lebron to play TE? lol
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
yes!
except he needs to win some titles with the Heat. How about Blake Griffin?
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
He'll be too old for the NFL by then
Play 5 years for the Dolphins being an All-Pro for 5 years then go back to the Heat.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
no I want him to stay on the Heat lol
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Has that every worked !
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders did it with football and baseball
nobody has played pro football and basketball though.. Tony Gonzalez was the closest I think, played NBA D-League
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Zalas is a freak!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
he really is
he was the first Basketball – to – football convert too wasn’t he?
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Lebron played football in HS
So it’s not like he never played before.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
Great news!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
Great news!

Thats what i said back to church on a regular basis also!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
yup
I couldn’t believe that they won on an 80 yard pass… but I also fully expected it to happen lol
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
there defence stop a hobbled ben !
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
that defense is serious

Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012

wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
Miller is a beast
Thought he would be good but didn’t think he would be this good, this fast!
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
he reminds me of Wake
just such an athletic freak
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012

Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Don't try and drag me with you.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012

Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012

texascowpunk - January 11, 2012

Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012

wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012

texascowpunk - January 11, 2012

Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
So your parents are still thinking about making you. Hmmm. Theres still time to intercede.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012

Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
LOL
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012

Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
Where you taking us?
Agent J 78 - January 10, 2012

Little Nicky 21 - January 10, 2012
It did get above zero today (32 for you)
So ice cream wouldn’t be that bad. lol
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
why is it 32 for me?
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Well because you're American
and you use Fahrenheit not Celsius. 32 Fahrenheit is 0 Celsius
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
oh gotcha
thought it was a short joke lol
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Give it time
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
let it marinate a little?
lol
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Vontaze Burfict in the second... anyone?
The Earl - January 10, 2012
yes?
yes twice?
Little Nicky 21 - January 10, 2012
I have a hard time believing he'll go to the second round after people watch him destroy his pro day/combine stuff
He’s pretty ridiculous.
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
true story
Sean Spence at some point, please
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
From what I have read he should
be available in the 3rd, nice to have some local talent besides Carey.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
exactly
that’s when I would take him. We need to start taking guys from UM, UF, and FSU.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
He's rated 18th by ESPN, not that means much
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
So how many Phins assistants does Tony try and drag away with him?
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
Hopefully all of them
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
beat me to it
lol
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
LOL From the offense? All of them?
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
Henne throw for over 400 yds again new england!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
I just want the Parcells stink off of us
Nolan gets a pass, but it sounds like he’s gone anyway.
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
unbelievable that 4 years ago
he was considered by everyone nationally to be this great franchise architect and he was going to turn us around and make us relevant..
thanks asshole
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
And now hes a Jet. F him! Hes now the enemy!
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
Remember when he spurned Atlanta for us?
He should’ve stayed there.
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
I would trade places with ATL 4 years ago
Dimitroff is gooood in the front office
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
yeah
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
Parcells is?
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
He's talking about Sparano DeVito
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
Devito lmao!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
lol confused me
my comment was about BP
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Yeah hes gone. Time to start all over yet again.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
bit the buillet!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
So ... who's the best Dolphins coaching candidate out there?
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
Chud
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
of those that we've interviewed?
or overall?
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Overall
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
Carmichael
Chuds, or Perry Fewell
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
A Bills castaway?
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
One of the best DC's in football IMO
the Giants are nasty, and he really uses his personnel well
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
I actually thought he was a good HC in Buffalo
They surrounded him with zero talent and wanted a miracle.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
yeah he was the interim guy
and Rooney Rule interview.. never any intentions of giving him that job
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Fewell clinched it for me when he realized he could throw four Giants DEs on the line of scrimmage and let them loose
It’s ridiculous to watch.
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
so awesome
that’s so brilliantly simple
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
FIST PUMP!!!
The Earl - January 11, 2012
FG's!!!!!
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
kinda funny that Sparano's initials are Special Teams' reversed
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
I hate that actually employed that asshole for nearly four years
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
we*
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
and fans thought he deserved more
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
end that thought rite mnuw!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
lol
I did my best to squash it
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
We can cut bait for only so long!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
lol and I'm the bad guy
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Why yes, yes you are!
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
Well yes but not because of that.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
I'm cool with it
if I gotta be the voice for all the fed up fans who don’t come around anymore because they get yelled down at the first hint of a negative thought, so be it.
I am the Negative Ninja
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Negative Ninja? Thats not what I call you but I cant say here or I will have to warn myself.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
let it rip
I am not easily offended
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
jk
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
hahaha come on
you suck
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
No I was just fucking with you.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
watch your mouth!
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Bitch.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
Jersey slutring!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
Yeah Jersey whore that Nicky. Him and his whore mouth.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
after hours is getting a bit raunchy!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
Yeah did I cross the line of no return?
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
well this will be erased yes!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
No but I can later remove any comments that bother you beav.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
thx truly!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
Squid?
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
Squidly didly it is the navy for me!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
mullet?
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
Shad!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
Cut grunt?
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
Patric white shrimp!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
Live shrimp are the best. Ballyhoo? For trolling of course.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
Old reliable grape-glitter10 inch worm!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
I don't know no freshwater fishin
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
me eather!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
are you surprised?
The Earl - January 11, 2012
honestly
yes. I feel like we all watched the same team the last 3 years, and that team sucked. In the playoff hunt up until week 14 in the previous 2, and fold at the end. How is that OK? Start 0-7 and essentially cancel our own season before it begins.. how the hell is THAT ok??
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
For all those that don't want to trade up for RG3 it must be ok for them
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
lol Matt Moore is the future!!
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
I can't believe how many discussions I can have on this topic
How do people not notice Moore is off on a lot of throws? How many times does he have to throw behind Bess before people realize he isn’t an elite QB?
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
LOL
agreed 100000%
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
He nearly got him murdered in the last game
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
In Moore's defense, timing is something you can work on
The Earl - January 11, 2012
but it's not always a timing thing.
it’s a location thing. He’s just not accurate enough to put the ball where it needs to be.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
^This^
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
Moore is inconsistent
So was Henne, but Moore was better at it. LOL
The Earl - January 11, 2012
lol
the only difference was willingness and ability to throw the deep ball.. on short/intermediate throws, they are the same guy.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Moore does throw a decent long ball
it isn’t elite but is very good, you would think a guy that can throw an accurate pass 40 yards could throw an accurate 10 yard pass.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
sounds good in theory lol
not always the case. Short accuracy is much more difficult IMO, because you have the tendency to over-aim it, and you have a smaller window to put it. Deep ball accuracy sometimes is just letting it go and your WR runs under it.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Can they use the poison pill again or not!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
lol
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
I doubt you will ever see that again.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
Thx again!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
I'm pretty sure that wasn't even true for the Welker deal
it’s one of those accepted non-facts.. like Michael Jordan getting cut from his high school
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
what this is news his son did i thought!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
I don't think so..
his son is pretty good.. not his dad, but pretty good on his own.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Give him sum practic time he'll be ok err elite!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
I know
I booed him raucously after that pass. Bess is one of my favorite players, and he’s been forced to be an acrobat thanks to the shitshow of QB’s we’ve had out there throwing to him. I’m surprised he hasn’t sustained more injuries
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
And Bess gets shit on because he doesn't have great YAC
If the QB’s lead him a little better he would. Even Henne was better at the 10 yard pass to Bess.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
I still believe Bess is more talented than Welker
more speed, same quickness, better hands, much better catch radius, similar route running and YAC ability..
the difference? Welker has Brady hitting him in the right spots at the right times, and Bess has Henne/Moore trying to get him killed.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Totally agree
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
and then Bess would go play in GB or somewhere
become a Pro Bowler and fans will moan and groan about how we let another player get away. All the while missing the obvious answer to the question.
The Earl - January 11, 2012
Sad but true
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
yup
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Get elite or go home like this year!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
agreed
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
It's not
Sparano sucked. I hope he destroys the Jets’ offense. Oh wait …
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
we know one thing
their kicker is going to the Hall
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
well it's always everyone else's fault
Henning, Ireland, Colombo… it’s never Sparano’s or Henne’s fault.
The Earl - January 11, 2012
unbelievable how that works
Henne isn’t bad.. 4 seconds in the pocket isn’t enough.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
I thought that comment/fanpost I wrote would help solve that issue
Great play call, good protection, great double move… and Henne underthrows it for an INT. No QB worth his salt makes that bad of a pass… NONE. Yet, it still gets an excuse.
Why are fans so afraid to draft a QB?
The Earl - January 11, 2012
no idea
I mean, it’s like Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers and Philip Rivers etc etc etc don’t exist, only Ryan Leaf, Jamarcus Russell, and Tom Brady. That’s the only QB’s ever.
It’s amazing to me that the two QB’s in Dolphins history with Super Bowls were first round picks.. and NONE of the other QB’s were… and yet we don’t want to take a first round QB…
Maddening.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
It's a good track record so far
2 1st round QB’s and 2 HoF QB’s, time to make it 3 out of 3. lol
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
agreed lol
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
but RG3 isn't a pocket passing QB
and like one of the aruments against him on the ESPN blog is “no black QB had ever won a Super Bowl and never will”.
Junk…… like another ESPN poster said “I have not seen one person come up with an intellectual reason to not draft RG3”
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
LOL... they must have forgotten Doug Williams
The Earl - January 11, 2012
he doesn't count
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Someone brought that argument up
and the answer was something dumb like:
“It was Joe somebody that got them there”
The person was a racist bigot
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
there is no reason not to
Short accuracy – check
deep accuracy – double check
pocket awareness – check
mobility in and around the pocket – check
running ability – super check
poise, feel for the moment – check check
intelligence – extra check
character – check
leadership – check
arm strength – forceful check..
am I forgetting anything?
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
He has cool hair?
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
fly check
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
its from a rabid ointment he uses!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
We will have to trade up
thus mortgaging the future of the franchise forever. Plus we can get a guy in the 3rd and develop him while he sits behind Moore for a year.
Just preparing you.
The Earl - January 11, 2012
lol how exactly does next year's first rounder
destroy our future? forever? I hate this blog hahaha
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Forever you mean next years draft?
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
we may be able to trade twice this year get good comp.!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
It's going to take 4 first rounders to trade up
because that’s what they are asking. And every good consumer knows that you ALWAYS pay the asking price.
The Earl - January 11, 2012
lol
sometimes you pay above sticker price.. just in case
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Where is that written?
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
where is what written?
The Earl - January 11, 2012
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
I'm being facetious
I’m replying using every possible excuse anyone can use to avoid trading up for Griffin.
The Earl - January 11, 2012
Ah my bad
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
I think we can trade up cheaper than most expect
The Earl - January 11, 2012
I agree
Look at Atlanta and the NYJ’s moving up to 5 & 6 from 17 and 27, I would give that in a heartbeat to move from 8/9 to 2/3
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
well said
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
But some will complain regardless
The Earl - January 11, 2012
Yeah
but who really cares, by week 7 they will be the ones saying: “see I said all along RG3 would be worth trading up for”.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
Oh no they won't...
They will get called out for that mess.
The Earl - January 11, 2012
I am sure
some will try and get away with it
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
yup
you know there will still be people out there, when we are 7-0 with the best offense in the league, saying shit like:
“Wait until he gets hurt, he’s so small, he’s like Pat White, one hit and we are screwed”
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
"But we have Matt Moore"
The Earl - January 11, 2012
his confidence is ruined
he should’ve been the starter, but instead some rookie came in and the coaches just gave him the job.. it wasn’t even a fair competition.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
So he's unprofessional
He’s a whiny little baby that pouts because he doesn’t get his way. He will in no way want to go out and prove them wrong, or try to impress the next team to give him a shot.
The Earl - January 11, 2012
it's the coaches fault
how can we expect Matt Moore to command the huddle when the coaches have treated him so badly?
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
LOL... amazing
The Earl - January 11, 2012
I mean...
it’s so easy to make terrible factless arguments
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
We just covered half of a week 9 game thread... LOL
The Earl - January 11, 2012
LMAO
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
basically
only missing the 35 individual “MARSHALL!!!” comments lol
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
LOL
The Earl - January 11, 2012
So sad but true
Let them be miserable I’ll enjoy the season
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
I love the
“he’s a bust” comments.. then the guy disappears
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Best comments ever
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
I think its funny
people just know QB X will be a bust, but still won’t give up on Henne, even after a pro track record.
The Earl - January 11, 2012
retards
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
if we give up 4 #1 picks I want Luck & dont care if he gets killed flying down here to join the team!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
I'd be a little peeved if that happened lol
but I’m in on trading 4 #1’s for Luck
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
well i dont mean that but i want the best!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
agreed
although I’m seriously starting to come around on Griffin being the top QB in this class
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
It's like QB 1 and QB 1A
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
lol
and it’s not like we can’t make a New England-esque trade and get a future first for a guy…
no.. that’s impossible.. nobody has ever done that
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
What do we have to lose?
Are they afraid that we will draft one and they bust? If so, we are no worse off than we are now. Was drafting Henne any worse than drafting Ryan Leaf? Sure, Henne may have better numbers, but he still didn’t win and didn’t change the franchise. So how is that different?
The Earl - January 11, 2012
It's not
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
oh because it was a worthless 2nd rounder
and since we never land a good 2nd rounder, the pick was worthless anyway
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
LOL... I absolutely LOVE that argument
“So if it’s a worthless second rounder, then you should have no trouble using it to trade up to get a real QB right?”
It’s more like they are worried about ending up on one of those “top 10 busts ever” lists.
The Earl - January 11, 2012
better to never make a list ever
because we don’t matter. at all.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Our Qb throws over 400yds & our defence takes a chyt on the field no time out what the hell was that mismanage time every game!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
Interesting tweet:
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
lol
so because it worked once, it will always work?
Tom Brady Syndrome
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Maybe getting rid of Mularkey is the key to getting Matt Ryan to the next level of quarterbacking
He’s outrageously talented and smart, so something has to give here.
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
Or maybe Ryan will continue to be overrated.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
Yeah, I don't get that guy
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
Honestly, though, that guy would've been beaten to death in Miami. We couldn't have given him half of what he was set up with in Atlanta
Too bad, because we obviously need the franchise guy under center.
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
I mean he is ok but he was ok out of the gate leading you to believe he would be really good. He has remained
just ok all this time. Meh………..
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
that might be coaching
the talent was there, we all saw it in year 1… and he hasn’t progressed. But the tools are there, and you see more often than not that he’s a top tier QB… except in the playoffs.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
I don't buy that you see a top tier QB ever. Just average. Maybe the top end of the middle of the pack guys.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
He's had a collection of VERY good games in his career
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Yeah and? Consistency is the sign of a top tier QB.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
I didn't he was a top tier QB
I said you see him play like a top tier QB
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
You can say that about a lot of average to below average guys.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
not exactly lol
not in the amount that Ryan has. Henne has one game like that a year. Ryan has had like 6-8 every year. And a bunch more where he manages the game and rides the run game to a win. There is a reason that team is a contender every year, and it starts with him.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Meh. I have seen that act before. Dallas has one of those as well.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
Dallas isn't in the playoffs very often either..
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Yeah but he is equal. They just have the worst secondary in the NFL right now.
If not for that they win their division this year for sure.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
Maybe
but Ryan is in the playoffs again.. 3rd year out of 4. Romo has made the playoffs once out of the last 4..
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Ryan=overrated.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
Ryan = Top 10 QB
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Maybe #10.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
maybe
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
They won a SB Recently well!
wild zion beaver - January 11, 2012
I agree
Atlanta isn’t that talented to overcome shitty QB play to have 3 playoff appearances in 4 years and 4 winning records in 4 years.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
The theory about Matt Ryan is pretty interesting
And it applies to a lot of pro-style QBs: some quarterbacks just reach their ceiling early on. Matt Ryan may very well be one of those guys. Hell, Barkley could turn out the same way.
kmb8488 - January 11, 2012
Yeah. You never know.
texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
good point
about pro-style QB’s. Sometimes that maximizes their talent in college, and they don’t have anywhere to go up.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
could be
He should be so much better than he is in the playoffs.. then again, we were saying the same things about the Manning brothers..
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
wait..
you’re saying QB play is integral to winning? GTFOH!
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
No serious
It’s not just an elite OL that you need to win!
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
forget MVP QB's..
who are the Franchise LT’s in the playoffs right now?
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Jake Long and Joe Thomas are in the playoffs right?
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Fantasy Football Playoffs maybe
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
lol because a Top LT is a fantasy cornerstone
forget RB2, I need a better LT
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Meant they might be playing Fantasy Football...... lol
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
haha
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
LT in the playoffs?
Jeff Backus……. oh wait you said elite LT in the playoffs right now. lol
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
lol I don't think I can name a LT left in the playoffs
Michael Oher?
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
He's RT
Try again
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
Here are a few:
Chad Clifton, Jermon Bushrod, Matt Light, Ryan Clady, Will Beatty started the season for the Giants, but I think he’s injured, Joe Staley, Michael Oher, and Duane Brown.
The Earl - January 11, 2012
Matt Light is still playing?
I thought they had the revolving rookie door at OT
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Unless he's injured, he starts at LT
The Earl - January 11, 2012
really thought they were going with that tag-team..
that must be the RT spot.
hmm.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
I think Light is a FA next year
and Solder will be his replacement.
The Earl - January 11, 2012
Nate Solder

Corner.
Stone.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Doesn't really matter to them
They have Brady and hie heir apparent, Mallett.
The Earl - January 11, 2012
*his
The Earl - January 11, 2012
I love the argument for beating Brady
“all you have to do is blitz him because his line isn’t that good”
except once he figures out where you are coming from.. 40-burger
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
Best way to beat Brady is a beastly standard pass rush
Generate pressure with your line and forget the blitz.
The Earl - January 11, 2012
yup
but you also have to win the battle at the LOS with Welker. Because even if you bring pressure, if he can win on the short routes, Brady will shred you
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
IMO, the ideal way to beat the Pats
would be to have three very good man coverage CBs, a safety and linebacker that can cover TEs, and a good 4 man pass rush.
If you had that, you could pretty much stay in a 4-2 front the entire game and stay in it.
The Earl - January 11, 2012
so basically
you’re saying.. the best way to beat NE is to a) have a historically great defense, and b) score a lot.
got it.
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
LOL... yes
The Earl - January 11, 2012
I hate Tom Brady
and his beiber-do
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012

Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012

texascowpunk - January 11, 2012
Or go all Bernard Pollard
on Tom Brady
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
even that's not a sure thing
non-Brady Pats go 11-5 lol
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
We can win the division if they go 11-5; 13-3
not so much. lol
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
Matt Light is not bad
Duane Brown is the highest rated LT left according to PFF.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
He's a Franchise Centerpiece
No need for a QB on that team
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
You know who rated worse than Colombo by PFF?
Marshall Newhouse who started 12 games at LT and 2 at RT for GB, he played a 100 less snaps than Colombo did.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
Yeah, but who cares about facts?
The Earl - January 11, 2012
No one rational that's for sure.
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
could it be
that Rodgers is a) mobile, b) able to get the ball out of his hand on time, and c) awesome?
Little Nicky 21 - January 11, 2012
No, it's all his OL
Agent J 78 - January 11, 2012
