Floyd is a beast and Griffin might end up better than Luck. Even if he doesn’t, Griffin can still be very good and having Floyd and Marshall would be nasty (assuming Marshall wasn’t involved with the trade.)

I think Luck will be very good but he will give defenses bigger headaches especially

Newton is LB size. But Griffin isn’t as small as White. I still wouldn’t want him running too much though. Or Luck for that matter.

And Griffin will bulk up. He is young. Younger then White when he came out.

in the form of muscle and he works with a trainer to work on his speed then he will be fine. I saw Michael Johnson (he has a big training center here) talking about working with these kids before the combine and how he is able to add size (in the 20 lb range for some) and muscle and actually make them faster. Of course he might be the guru of doing so.

Cruz just highlighted a glaring need for the Phins - dynamic WR.

The Phins don’t have one WR that can do what Cruz just did, take a short pass, turn the corner and then out run everyone for a TD.

Get the QB, then get him another couple of weapons like Cruz.

I'm glad we resigned JT this past off-season

but I really wish we had also signed Kiwanuka as well. I wish we had drafted JPP instead of Misi, although I’m glad we have Odrick too.

I wish we could get some ligit inside info on what the Dolphins actually plan on doing for the draft.

For instance, if the Phins hire someone planiing to run a west coat offense, you can bet the Phins will be in the Matt Flynn derby. Getting the coach right is the first step, Then FA, then the draft. Don’t get worked up about the draft until the other pieces fall into place.

We can trade hartline, who can be a great no. 2 reciever with a halfway decent qb throwing to him, this years 1st and starks, who is getting old but is still talented, plus odrick is there to replace him. We can draft someone like quick in the 2nd or someone else in the 3rd. May be even give gates a shot and draft a WR next year if he doesn’t work out, its not like we are going to be SB contenders next year anyways, I predict 9-7 at best.

Yeah I know. I still think it might take that much. RGIII is going to be a very hot commodity now that Barkley isn't in the draft.

But that pick will be slightly cheaper

and if we trade with STL for instance, they can’t ask as much.

Oh they can ask. You also have to remember that there may be some teams drafting behind Miami that could be interested in moving up.

Teams like Seattle, Kansas City, the Jets. To move up will be expensive IMO.

But they can't really ask for more

because everyone knows that STL and Minnesota will not draft a QB in the first unless it’s Luck.

Which is why I'm kind of glad Indy has #1 in a way

I could see them taking Griffin at #2 if STL took Luck #1.. However I don’t think the Rams would draft RG III so they’re more likely to trade down now that they don’t have the #1 pick

If this turns into a bidding war between multiple teams, the price goes up.

Let’s say Wash, Miami, Cle, Sea all want RGIII. That puts St. Louis in the drivers seat and they can ask a high price. If no team wants to pay that price, ok, they draft Khalil. Then Minn is in the drivers seat and could ask for whatever price they want because Wash, Miami, and Sea know that if hey don’t move in front of Cle, they lose out on RGIII.

If Washington signs Flynn, they’re out of the deal. if Cleveland decides to stick with McCoy (not a bad idea since they have NO playmakers at all), they won’t be in on it. Seattle is 8-8 and the cost will be too high for them, especially since Carroll will go all in for Barkley next year. I think the cost will be lower than expected.

Yeah, RG III's stock has risen quite high over the last 3 months

Luck may still be the #1 QB in the draft but the gap between he and RG has closed in VERY significantly. The higher Griffin’s stock has risen, so has the asking price to trade for him. The 2012 QB class is no longer “Luck and everyone else” IMO

the skins need a QB, but who else realistically will draft one? Not the Rams. Will the Jags stick with Lame Gabbert?
